Handel's Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

Very disappointed. First off, the inside is incredibly bland and unwelcoming. Tiny little area for people to stand and order but the rest is massive but it's all dedicated to the 2-3 people working. You can't eat inside, which is weird. Customer service is horrible. 3 people were working and they were not remotely friendly and just stared at us with dead eyes.

There are a lot of ice cream flavors, but the portion sizing is weird. My wife ordered a small waffle bowl, I got a medium dish. She had way more ice cream in a small than in my medium. It was also $20 for 3 of us to eat ice cream. The ice cream was good, but not even remotely worth the price.

Not sure why anyone would choose to eat here when there are 3 locally owned places in the same part of town that have better ice cream, are way friendlier, better priced, and have...

I absolutely love Handels ice cream. I got the blueberry cheesecake on a chocolate sprinkle cone and it was amazing. My husband got peach, and that was also delicious. The 4 stars in the review come more from the pricing and menu confusion I had, as I asked for a small and my husband got the same but I got three scoops of ice cream and he only received one. It was also $14 for two ice cream cones, which I know is because the ice cream is exceptional but that’s still incredibly expensive. The menu did not list that there was an extra $1.30 charge for chocolate cone. For reference, we can each get a double scoop at Braum’s for 2.50 each. I was the only one there for a door dash delivery and was told itcwould be 20 minutes cause he was by himself. Then other people showed up and he kept taking their order and money and filling their order and makong me wait. I was here first and the other people that came after me shouldve had to wait. Thats POOR customer sevice. And poor management to have this young kid all by himself. And they had the nerve to say that Door Dash customers arent as important as the customers who walk in. The whole time i sat here he kept helping people walking in instead of my door dash order. So if your reading this,dont order from this place cause your not important.....
