Hopsing's — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

It’s been a few years since I’ve eaten here so since I was nearby, I wanted to give them a shot. At my favorite Chinese take out (China Express) I get my usual potstickers as lunch which are generous and more than filling. I wanted to try theirs and on their online ordering it states they are fried potstickers (usually meaning pan fried and steamed) so I ordered them at Hopsings. I also ordered a side of fried rice. The lady handed me my bag and I was shocked at how small it was. When I got home I couldn’t believe how disappointing this $8+ order was. The dumplings were totally deep fried and all of them fit in the palm of my hand. The rice was flavorless. Excellent food and fast service. The best Chinese food in Fort Wayne, and it's drive thru! Everything we've tried from the menu is very good and you will never find a better egg roll.

Update 1/10/24: Hopsing is still my favorite. Tonight we each got Teriyaki Chicken with fried rice and Crab Rangoon. A meal for two for around $30 and it was hot and delicious. If you've ever been disappointed here in the past, please try again. We've been eating here consistently for years and the food is usually very good and orders are always correct. Service is concise and friendly. And if you are waiting, it's worth it because they're making fresh stuff. In my opinion, it is better quality than any other similar food...

I was told this place was awesome then caught on fire and burnt down. Definitely not a Phoenix. I paid almost $10 for sweet and sour chicken. I got maybe three pieces of chicken and a ridiculous amount of oversized vegetables. The pork fried rice was okay, but lacking on flavor. The sweet sauce wasn't sweet it actually had practically no flavor to it. My friend's Kung Pow Beef had the same issue with there only being 3 pieces of beef. (Yes, we counted the meat in our meal once we saw how little we were given). The overall portions of our meal was not worth the $10 a piece.
