⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Real pizza. Real people. Real communication. It’s disappointing to see someone leave a 1-star review without even trying the food. Johnny Ox Pizzeria made it clear—well in advance at 1:30 PM—that they would be closing early due to a private corporate event hosted by the Do it best corp, which was completely out of their control.

This is a locally owned, family-run, Black-owned business that bends over backward to serve the community with quality ingredients and real love in their food. Life happens. Unexpected things pop up. But blaming a business for something they communicated openly and didn’t cause themselves? That’s unfair.

If you’re going to drive an hour for pizza, check their social media or call ahead, just like you would for any great spot. And trust me—it’s worth the trip. The pizza is 🔥, the people are kind, and you’ll always leave full and happy when you actually try it.

Let’s support local businesses that care, not drag them down for things beyond...

This review is for the Union Street Market location. I went earlier in the week with some friends and we ordered a pepperoni pizza. Unfortunately the entire pizza was badly burnt underneath. The fact that it still tasted pretty OK made me want to give them anther shot, hoping this was a one-off. So I stopped by today and was going to try a slice (note you can only get slices between 11am -2pm). They were very busy with a long line, and while I was waiting I noticed the cashier was handling the register and money and then picking up the pizza slices and plating them with without washing hands or using gloves. After seeing this multiple times I got out of line and got food elsewhere. I'm hoping the management will see this and work with staff on proper food handling/hand washing as well as making sure the pizza is not burnt. I really would like to try again but was pretty...

Best pizza place ever. Jonny walked out behind his booth and shook me and my boyfriends hand- very personable and an overall kind man. Customer service was way beyond a 10/10. We ordered our pizza thinking we would have a long wait but to our surprise it was made fresh in just 15 minutes. He even added a side of his homemade veggies and homemade ranch for no additional charge. His uncle even recognized us from when we tried going a week prior to get pizza but they were sold out, and said he was glad to see us back. Now the pizza was single handedly the best pizza i’ve ever tasted. It was nice and thin and the sauce and pepperoni had a incredibly unique and delicious flavor to it. It was about $30 (roughly after tip) for a pepperoni pizza- but it was a big pizza and you can tell he used quality ingredients. It is needless to say me and my boyfriend will...

Went to Johnny OX Pizzeria today for a pizza to go. Pizza was fantastic! Clear example of an excellent rustic/artisan style pizza. Great undercarriage with a little flop to it. As it should. The amount of pepperoni was well proportional for the size and the crust was chewy. The sauce had a slight kick to it. If you haven't had the opportunity to give them a try put it on your list and see what you think of it. They have slices available so you can try it without purchasing a whole pie, but I'm pretty confident that you will.
