I passed by this place when I was in Electric Works the other day but I had already gotten food, so I made a note to come back another time. I had a really bad day today and felt like some comfort food was in order so I decided I’d go give it a try.
That turned out to be exactly the right choice. The owner was cooking, and he and the staff were so welcoming and kind, they really brightened my bad day up before I even got my food.
I ordered the strozzapreti, which they make fresh in house, with the truffle mushroom Alfredo sauce, and it was delicious. The pasta was amazing; this guy has serious skill. And the sauce was perfectly balanced, flavorful and rich, with just the right amount of truffle oil so the flavor was noticeable without being overpowering. The portion was generous and normally with that amount of food I would save half for lunch the next day but I literally could not stop eating it and before I knew it I was practically licking the empty bowl. Next time I will definitely get the breadsticks, because I regretted not having them when I found myself heating up some frozen garlic bread because I didn’t want to waste a drop of that incredible sauce. The prices were very reasonable; I’d expect to pay $20 for handmade pasta of that quality but the menu price of a build your own pasta bowl starts at half that.
I was pretty stuffed by then but I couldn’t resist the cheesecake cannoli, which was also fresh and house made. I recently moved here after spending the last 2 decades in New York, and I’m not exaggerating when I say this was the best cannoli I have had in my life. Delightfully crunchy and packed with velvety smooth cheesecake cream, my only regret is that I finished it too fast. This was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had, I’m so glad I went and can’t...
Read moreWe had a fantastic experience with Pasta Di Guy for our wedding! They were prompt, professional, and delivered everything exactly as promised. The team delivered appetizers ahead of the reception and returned later with the dinner, ensuring everything was fresh and perfectly timed. They also made sure the buffet tables were set up correctly and that all the food was arranged just right, which really helped everything run smoothly.
Beyond their excellent service, the team was super affordable and incredibly accommodating. They answered all of my questions and responded quickly, which made planning so much easier and less stressful.
And the food—absolutely incredible! So many of our guests told us how much they loved it. We’re so glad we chose Pasta Di Guy and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable caterer with delicious food and...
Read moreGot the ravioli appetizer and the chicken parm. The fried ravioli was obviously sitting for some time under a heat lamp, and it was tough and hard to crunch through, and the middle had all but dissapeared.
The entree was much better, but I was dissapointed on the quantity of the marinara sauce, it was delicious but so diluted by plain noodles that it couldn't carry the dish.
The chicken cutlets themselves where good pieces of chicken and decent portion, but again they had obviously sat under a headlamp or warming tray for a few hours prior to being served to me.
I feel like there is so much potential in the food I had, just no...
