If you’re craving Mediterranean food but don’t feel like sitting down for a long, drawn-out dinner, Ghibli Mediterranean Cuisine is the spot you need to check out. It’s not a full sit-down restaurant—more of a casual, order-at-the-counter type of place—but the flavors here are so fresh and vibrant that you won’t even mind grabbing your meal to-go or eating at one of their small tables.

The vibe inside is simple and clean, nothing over the top, but it does a good job of letting the food speak for itself. There’s a steady flow of people coming in and out, which tells you right away that this place has a loyal following.

I kicked things off with their baklava, and I’m glad I did. What makes it unique is their twist: instead of pistachios, Ghibli uses walnuts. The result is a dessert that’s rich and nutty, with just the right crunch and a deeper, earthy flavor. The pastry itself was flaky and golden, with layers that soaked up the honey perfectly. It wasn’t overly sweet, which made it a refreshing way to start the meal—and honestly, it set the tone for everything else that followed.

For my entrée, I went with the chicken shawarma wrap, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, tucked into a soft pita with crunchy veggies and a drizzle of garlicky sauce. Every bite was balanced—rich, savory chicken paired with crisp, refreshing toppings. I also tried the lamb skewer that came with two sides on another visit, I tried the falafel. The lamb was tender, and the rice had this fragrant aroma that made the whole dish feel comforting yet flavorful.

What really makes Ghibli Mediterranean Cuisine stand out is the freshness of their ingredients. You can tell nothing has been sitting around too long—everything tastes like it was prepped that day. The portions are generous too, so you’ll definitely leave full (and probably with leftovers if you grab a plate instead of a wrap).

The staff is friendly and quick, which is great since most people are on the go. They’re happy to recommend favorites if you’re not sure what to order, and they get your food out fast without making it feel rushed.

I couldn’t resist ending with one more piece of their walnut baklava, paired with a strong coffee. It was the perfect sweet finish to a meal that was both flavorful and satisfying.

Overall, Ghibli Mediterranean Cuisine is a gem for anyone looking for fresh, authentic Mediterranean food without the sit-down fuss. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch, dinner on the go, or just a snack, this place has...

This place is a complete gem of Fort Wayne!

The made-to-order Mediterranean cuisine here is fresh, high quality, and incredibly affordable. The falafel has a perfect crispy texture with an excellent overall flavor profile that keeps me coming back. Their chicken shawarma bowl is spectacular – it comes topped with fresh tabbouleh and a creamy garlic sauce that can only be described as delicious. The portions are generous without being overwhelming; the lunch portions are just enough to leave you satisfied without overeating. And considering the quality, the prices are unbeatable.

Despite being counter-service in a food court, you still get that personal touch – the service has unmatched friendliness. The owner has even given me a free baklava, which is a testament to the level of care they put into their customer experience. I eat here once or twice every couple of weeks, and I'm confident their other dishes carry the same level of quality and flavor.

You will not be disappointed...

cannot believe I haven’t tried this place till now … this place is amazing. The shawarma is honestly the best I’ve had in Fort Wayne it’s so flavorful, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and he made sure it’s warm and fresh before i got there. definitely my new go-to spot for Middle Eastern food. The portions are so big ! was already full after half the sandwich. Their salads and bowls are also sooo good, super fresh and flavorful.

The owner looks so kind and sweet, and he truly is. His energy made the whole experience even better. It’s so refreshing going somewhere with incredible food AND kind people serving it. The place is super clean too! you can tell they care about what they’re doing and about the people eating their food.

Please support them! they deserve all the love. I’m obsessed already and I’m definitely coming back again...

Ghibli Middle Eastern is the real deal, not just because the food is amazing but because the family running it makes you feel like you’re part of theirs. I tried the new cutlet dinner with fries and a fresh fattoush salad and it was phenomenal. The cutlets were juicy and packed with flavor, the meal came with a sriracha style creamy mayo I wanted to put on everything, and the fattoush with lemon vinaigrette was super fresh and bright. What sets this place apart is the people. They welcome you like you’re walking into their home, and you can taste the pride they put into every bite. If you’re in Fort Wayne, don’t miss Ghibli. The cutlet dinner is outstanding, but seriously, don’t sleep on their shawarma bowls either. Both are next level good.

The food was outstanding and full of flavor. I got the lunch portion- prices are fair and portions were good, I even had leftovers. I also got the baklava and coffee, which were both incredible. I only eat baklava when I’m in NYC because any one I’ve had in FW wasn’t authentic or good, until now. Ghibli’s baklava really is authentically made, fresh, and perfectly balanced. It was such a treat! The coffee was sooooo good, too. I can’t wait to come back. If you’re in the area, definitely give them a try or even if you have to drive across town, it’ll be well worth it!
