The short of it is that the food is good and prices reasonable, the music is appropriate (K-Pop, not my cup of tea but what would you expect?), but the silverware and dishes are dirty and the decor is wrong.
To expand on that, per person you're looking at $28.99 for hotpot (what we did) $30.99 for Korean BBQ and $33.99 for both. The whole table has to do the same thing. The selection of good is solid and what we got was good, it's hard to mess up raw meat and dumplings, and they didn't. The broths we did were good, basic pork bone and szechuan. The latter claims to be spicy but for me at least, even as not a big spice eater, was pretty mild.
The service was pretty good as well. Decently fast, even though they had a good amount of business, and very friendly and helpful. We knew what we were doing, but they did a good job explaining to the tables around us how everything worked.
The big problem I had was that things just looked and felt dirty. My fork had some dried, crusted food on it and every sauce bowl I could find had a bit of food or water still left in it. If not for that, they'd easily pull a 4 star review from me, but even ignoring that I'm a bit of a clean freak that still seems like a little much for anyone.
The only other complaint I'd have is the decor. It's very... pirate themed. Including a (family friendly) busty pirate statue right beside our table. Usually I couldn't really care less about decor, but pirate/ocean theme for Korean BBQ just feels off. I wouldn't rate them any lower for it, but... it is weird.
Overall, as long as they clean up their act, I'd recommend trying it. We've done hotpot before and this was about on par with those experiences at a pretty...
Read moreWent for the first time to do hot pot, which we were excited for. Got the menu, ordered our items, was instructed to go to the sauce bar & we sat down. It took almost 30-45 mins to received our first plate of seafood & meats. It was busy we understand. Got our shrimp & scallops first, the mussels & such last. Sadly, the seafood we received was unfortunately subpar. As we were cooking our clams, mussels, etc, they came out looking incredibly odd. There were hair fibers sprawling out of the shell and when addressed with our server, he didn’t know & just shrugged it off, claimed it was a bad batch. After the first one, we just kept finding more & more & it made our stomachs churn. We respectfully paid & left early when we lost our appetite. Later that night, our group fell ill & we all had nausea & stomach pain as a result. Note, we didn’t eat all day to save our appetite for this all you can eat feast. I know the server meant to harm, but please be cautious of...
Read moreWe had an amazing time at this Korean BBQ spot, and a big part of that was thanks to our server, Antonio. From the moment we were seated, he was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He explained the menu clearly, helped us pick the perfect combination of meats and sides.
The food was absolutely delicious—tender, flavorful meats, fresh banchan (side dishes), and perfectly seasoned sauces. Everything tasted authentic and was presented beautifully. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients.
The ambiance was just right—modern and cozy with great lighting and a welcoming vibe. It’s a great place to come with friends or family, whether you’re celebrating something or just in the mood for some amazing BBQ.
