I worked at both locations when they were still affiated a few years ago. I've held off making this review for some time but it actually keeps bothering me to this day what happened to me at the hands of the owners Brian and Rachel Till. I worked as a sandwich maker/baker. For the most part, the job itself was fine. I had a few complaints about the "head of the kitchen" but nothing too terrible. The situation that STILL haunts me to this day is how I was treated when I gave my 2 weeks notice to the two owners. I privately asked them if we could talk and I processed to tell them that I had been looking and found another job that was able to pay me what I needed at the time to contribute to my family. I said as such and Rachel started BERATING me. Saying how I was doing this to screw them over because they were dealing with a family situation and that I took this time to make it harder for them. She got me crying cause I said "I need to do this for my family. I could've just walked out or never come back, but I'm putting my two weeks notice in. This isn't in any way screwing you over." She carries on saying that THEY have kids to take care if too. (Like my family shouldn't come first to me somehow) also brian just sat there watching me cry and watching his wife lay into me and says nothing. At the end I leave the room bawling and continue my work. (everyone says I should've just left at that point. but I can say I finished my obligation and finished my planned shifts.) Rachel was the one doing the schedule at the time (and remember i put my 2 weeks notice in) and I had already been scheduled 2 or 3 shifts for the next week. the second week she never scheduled me to work, basically said peace...ef you and then continued to IGNORE ME everytime she came into the shop. To make it worse one of the baristas had put her 2 weeks in a few days before me and she got the same treatment. and she was like 16 and was berated, yelled at and ignored until her last day too. I will NEVER recommend this coffee shop cause it's run by people who dont truly care about the employees if they choose to go somewhere else to make more money and support themselves. And don't get me started on how I didn't get my tax...
Read more4/06/2024 UPDATE: Whoever runs their social media today decided to “heart” my message about me being appalled. They want to taunt me which is very immature and unprofessional. This coffee shop is a high school. 4/03/2023 UPDATE: They responded on instagram. One of the ladies we had issues with responded and was so rude. It proved my point even more. The lack of professionalism and disrespect is crazy. They also lied twice because they never warmed up my friends muffin. They also were not busy. There were maybe 15 people including us. When we were done ordering only two more people needed orders. They also (because I checked) did not have a long drive line like at that time. Their way of handling conflict is horrible and unprofessional.
My friends and I came in to have coffee and breakfast at Mocha Lounge. I received a frozen muffin and my friend wanted hers warmed up too just incase. I told the ladies working that my muffin was frozen and to please heat up my friends too. One with slicked back blonde hair and bright red cheeks said “we just got them out that’s why they are frozen”. I said “okay well can they be heated up?” Another lady stepped in and said “yes we can”. I had to have my muffin heated up three times before it was ready to be served.
Whether or not my friend’s muffin is frozen or not. If she wants it warmed up they should have warmed it up. Instead they said “this isn’t frozen” and gave it back. My coffee taste like leftover americano water. It was nasty and barely any flavor was in it. I got a cookie butter latte. The lack of professionalism is appalling to me. Not only that but all the ladies working that we had an interaction with were entitled and rude. I spent $20 on a coffee, a muffin and a quiche to be treated like garbage.
The DuPont location their muffins are on point and their coffee is so good every time. Here it’s like drinking watered down lattes with no flavor and you get treated like you...
Read moreI was visiting a friend from out of town. She usually goes to this place and loved it, but she had one of the worst interactions with staff I’ve ever seen.
We get to the place at 8 in the morning. She asks for a latte with no foam. Simple, right? Gets the latte, it’s all foam. My friend wasn’t even rude about it, even though it’s exactly the opposite of what she wanted. She just asked if they could give her more milk to put in her latte. The staff refused. Point blank.

“Nope. I’m not doing that. Nope. Not happening.”
My friend pointed out that there was too much foam. The staff was like “There was no foam when I made it, so any foam must’ve come from you.”
Um. Okay? Yes, my friend created this extra foam just so she could get back in line to ask for more milk. You got her! Guilty!
One of the most bizarre customer service experiences ever. It’s like, if you’re having a bad day, that’s cool. Happens to all of us. Please don’t take it out on a...
