Atmosphere: 🟢🪵🔅A bright space with lots of natural sunlight, accented by olive green walls, dark wooden tables, and wall murals
Parking: ✅A few free spaces available in front of building, other free street parking available nearby
Price transparency: ⚠️ Prices for drinks clearly labeled on menu, but bakery prices not available

Internet: ✅ Free internet available with wifi password posted on sign on counter
Temperature: ☁️ A bit colder than my preference, but thermostat read at 73. It felt colder in my spot, but I was under a fan (which covers most of the seat) and would have liked a light jacket
Tea drinks: 🟨 I got the ginger chai latte and was a bit disappointed. It may have just been the drink I had that day, but it was a bit bland and I couldn’t taste the ginger. Presentation was good, but 1 star removed for taste.
Reusable containers: ✅ We were asked if we wanted reusable mugs after ordering hot drinks, which I greatly appreciated
Seating: ✅ A good amount of seating available, but even on a work day afternoon most of the seats were taken
Other: Barista was very welcoming 👋🏼. Small shop available with their coffee beans and filters. Bathrooms have fun Marvel Comicbook...
Read moreUnfortunately I have to edit my review. I live in the area and I'm disabled. This is one of my favorite coffee spots. But when I pulled up last night, there was a nondisabled vehicle in the ONE Disability parking spot. Not only that, but apparently it was a service delivery as they were loading. I asked them to leave as I needed the spot and they didn't have any Disability permit, and they annoyedly replied that they are going to leave they're just doing deliveries. The parking lot is almost full, I get it. But there was a spot they could have pulled up to on the other side for the staff door and easily used. Instead, they decided being "quick" entitled them to the Disabled parking spot. News flash: it doesn't! The world already isn't made for Disabled folx, but up until now I considered Avoca an exemplary establishment with great consideration for Disabled people. Sad. I've been so impressed with Avoca during COVID. I loved them before, but since shutdown and when things have been slowly reopening they have really showed they are not only a great business with tasty drinks and food, but also a responsible and committed member of this neighborhood. I will always refer people here for a great cup of coffee. I've had coffee here while doing homework, hanging out with friends, having some nice alone time, and having serious conversations. It's literally perfect for...
Read moreI ordered in advance and the pick up time was 3:05. Ok great. I arrived at 3:09 and there was no parking. So I parked awkwardly in the lot, not in a spot because my coffee is ready already right so no big deal. I enter and I’m met with the dirtiest of looks from one of the servers. Maybe a chip on her shoulder(probably it), maybe she’s mad about the park job (if so just say I can’t park there). Then I tell them my order and another woman (much friendlier, more neutral attitude, no issues there) said I’m making it now. I wait four more minutes and ask how long it’s going to be and mention the parking situation to address the elephant in the room and the woman who initially gave me the dirty greeting cuts me off rudely and shortly and says 30 seconds… ok… I finally get it at 3:13, 8 minutes after the time it was supposed to be ready with much unneeded attitude. Left there and will never return. Funny because I live down the street and this place was highly recommended when I mentioned to someone I know that I go to white rhino very often. They said to try this place.. I’ll stick to white rhino and Starbucks. I’ve never had such rude service. Service at white rhino has never been anything but superb and even when Starbucks is running that behind they are super...
