Chicken Express — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Ordered a regular order of fried pickles, drove away and my sister looked in the bag and said they barely gave us any pickles. I stopped and looked and we had 8 pickles for $2.50, some were the size of a nickel none bigger than a quarter, and precisely 8. I went inside with my order that was in a paper boat they had put them in and they didn’t even cover the bottom of the boat. I told the girl at the front I hardly received any pickles for my order and she asked “well what size did you order?” I told her I ordered a regular order, she then says you only get 8. 8!! That’s not even a whole freakin pickle! She offered to make me more, I said that’s great thinking complimentary, guy comes out with my order of pickles and hands them to me, I say thanks take the bag and head to my car. By the time I reached the car he had ran after me wanting me to pay. I went back in and paid reluctantly and asked to speak with the manager. He came out and of course says he doesn’t determine the prices. I’m so disgusted with this location I will never give them another dime of my money. My kids love chicken express but I told them not to ever ask me for chicken express while in Haslet, we’ll go any where else but there! Matter of principle! Beware if you order the fried pickles! Wouldn’t be surprised if they start...

The food is decent, but the employees act like they don't care. I have been there twice now and have had my order messed up. The last time I went they stacked the macaroni and cheese on top of the gravy, and it was so hot that it melted the Styrofoam into the gravy and ruined it. Today when I went, they did not give me my order of fries. This time I went back to get my fries and the employees didn't seem to care that I was waiting at the counter. There was no one in the dining room, except for some employees on break, and there were 2 customers in the drive through waiting on food. It took a little bit of time to be noticed. When I did get an employee to help me, he acted like he was half asleep and didn't understand how I was missing part of my order. It took one of the employees, that were taking a break in the dining room, to fix my order.

The prices for the food that you receive, or don't receive, is not worth it, and the customer service is definitely declining. Not a great location to go to. I even tried to call them to talk to them about my order, and no one answered 3 times. Don't even try to call them to fix complaints...no one...

My 3rd attempt at this place because frankly, there aren't many choices in Haslet. The kitchen is always fully staffed with over 5 people every time yet, they put you on hold at the drive through and you're the only one there besides another couple inside already eating. I waited. Then as I was ordering, I was put on hold again. I ordered my meal which was a 2 tender snack pack. I received 3 chunks of chicken that have fallen off other tenders about the size of a McDonald's nugget and very cold fries. (Does your heat lamp not work??) I've worked in the food industry and completely understand the ups and downs but from reading the reviews today I see this is a long time pattern of the establishment and being that most CEs are independently owned and no corporate to establish any protocols, I make this review instead in hopes of warning others before making their selection of eateries for the day. Being that the selection is not vast for the area right now is probably one good reason they are not a closed restaurant YET. Growth of the area will change that and demand change...
