We went for a special celebration with family and were in the front private room, which was perfect. The atmosphere in the main dining was a little loud and mostly smaller curved booths, so good for couples or a foursome. They have some larger circular booths as well, and there are small tables in the bar area, which is a bit dimmer.
The service was great, excellent server. They dropped a steak in the kitchen and served the meal minus one plate which could have been really awkward for some people, but it worked out in our situation where we were splitting food anyways.
The food was interesting. You can see the menu on their website with prices which are on the higher end.
I tried: steak, truffle fries, arugula salad, salmon, lemon parmesean brocolli, chicken appetizer, avocado dip, and house potato chips.
The steak has truffle butter on it, I thought it was good, my daughter thought it needed salt, and then she loved it. The truffle fries were good, a little on the thin and crispy side, so everyone probably feels differently about if they like that. I think Chop House Burger truffle fries are better and slightly less crispy, but they are similar. The arugula salad was excellent, so tasty with the dressing although I couldn't tell you what kind it was. The salmon was good. The chicken appetizer came with three dipping sauces all good. The avocado dip was like a mild chunky guacamole served with potato chips. They were called ranch chips on the menu, but I don't recall really tasting the ranch. Some places house chips get burned, and their chips were perfect, no burnt parts. My only complaint was the brocolli. It was described as lemon parmesean and I couldn't taste either of those unless I picked up a ball of the parmesean which was very mild not like the fresh parmesean I've had, but the biggest issue was the salt as it was covered in this large salt that certainly made it look pretty, but almost inedible. You need to take the salted pieces and spread out the salt or remove and not eat those, and even then you might not be able to visually tell which pieces are salty and which are plain.
There's no kids menu, but there's a chicken nugget appetizer and a mac and cheese side. There's also a double cheeseburger which they said they could do junior burgers which would be one patty. However, if your kids are picky, they might be turned off anyways for not being "normal" versions. I think the burger...
Read moreHORRIFIC service by the manager / staff in the front!! My family came to eat here for my moms birthday ( my sister booked the reservation for happy hour a week before). When we get there, we were told that we can only sit at the bar (high stool, high table) or outside in the heat in order to receive the happy hour specials. My mom wasn’t able to sit in those high chairs at the bar and we did not want to sit in the heat, we asked the front desk staff & manager (Zoey, Isabel) And they literally just laughed at our faces pretty much just kind of smiled and said yeah that’s all that we can do. You can’t sit inside in the regular tables if you’re wanting happy hour. It didn’t matter to them that my mom wasn’t able to be comfortable in the areas for happy hour. My sister told the manager that her and her coworker come all the time and they give them the happy hour special options even when they’re seated inside the main dining area, so why was this time different? The manager and the girls at the front were talking amongst themselves the whole time that we were having dinner. They gave really ugly looks and were no help at all. Honestly, in my opinion, if you have a happy hour at your restaurant, you should have it for everybody!! For example, what if someone is disabled and unable to get to the bar area or doesn’t want to sit in the heat in August outside… to me that’s just plain discrimination, especially when it’s done for some guests and not others.
I just can’t get over the fact that that’s the management that they have at a facility that’s pretty high class, they should reconsider who they place at the front & have as managers. Not once did the manager or the front desk apologize for the inconvenience, they pretty much just gave ugly looks and said that there was nothing they could do.
On the plus side, our server Austin P. was so amazing he made the whole experience worth it!! He had great customer service explained the whole menu to us and smiled the whole time, checked on us so many times and apologize for the mistakes of the front desk and the manager.
We know many people who come to this restaurant often, and we will definitely share our...
