When I was a kid, I loved going to the International House of Pancakes. IHOP was a fun place to get fluffy pancakes topped with gooey sweet syrups. But it’s turned into 🗑 and I’ve had enough with IHOP. I’ve given plenty of opportunities at several different locations and I just think it’s an IHOP thing in general. None of the food that is displayed and marketed on the menu or online even look like the food that is served. The portions versus their pricing just doesn’t make sense either. The staff at every location I’ve been to - Beach St, North Tarrant, HWY 170, Saginaw, NRH, Arlington, etc. - if there is anyone willing to work, just doesn’t care either.

It was last Friday night at 9pm when we showed up. A FRIDAY NIGHT. You’d think you’d get, at minimum, decent service on a weekend but 🤷🏽‍♂️. It took about five minutes to even be seated because no one was present at the hostess stand. The floor was full of food and trash. Tables around us still had dishes left from other guests. And no telling how long those plates were there. Once we were sat, it took about another 5 to 10 minutes to even be greeted and an additional five minutes to get six waters. After putting in our order, now over 25 minutes of us being there, we patiently waited and watched our food sit on the warmer shelf. Only 5 out of the 6 meals that we ordered were served. 2 of the 3 kid meals weren’t correct and looked nothing like the pictures. The “minion” pancakes came out with the toppings on the side in little cups. So we make our food now? My food was cold and of course, incorrect. I didn’t bother sending it back since our waitress was nowhere to be found. My oldest had to wait another 10 minutes for his to be served and guess what? Yup, it was not correct. If you ask for your bacon to be cooked well done, they will serve you floppy and chewy 🥓. The crazy thing is, I still tipped the waitress, who is 8-9 months pregnant 🤰🏿25%. I know the restaurant industry is tough but c’mon. Idk what it is but ihop needs to get it together. It’s not difficult to treat your customers with respect and give effort. This is the last time I step foot in an IHOP. Waffle House or Denny’s are way better and that says a lot. I rather enjoy my eggs with a side of cigarette ash and witness a stabbing, a fight outside and be propositioned for a “good time” than sit and watch the entire ihop wait staff hang out next to the kitchen while my glass has been empty for 8...

Place was dead when my dad and I arrived. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was a younger blonde haired boy. We ordered coffee and water, he got them immediately. We had some time to order our food and my dad had to ask the busboy- Max, to get the waiters attention on refilling my dads coffee. The waiter was on his phone playing games in the corner. Max was friendly and was working hard to clean the establishment, which was gross. The floors needed attention and it was incredibly hot in the establishment. All of the employees were sitting around not helping anyone out. We placed our order and when we received it the order was missing the pancakes. So we waited for a while and noticed the waiter sat back down and my dad had to get his attention to check in the kitchen. We got them finally and the food was bland and the jam on the item ordered was over cooked and burnt. The pancakes were over cooked and dry. We got the check and walked it to the front and was told to give it back to the waiter. My dad wanted to speak to the manager but was nowhere to be found. He took the time to walk back to the office. The manager told him to come back to his table so she could speak to him about his experience. We told her the food was awful and the experience was awful too. She told my dad to let her know before hand and offered to remake the food. We were over the whole place at that point and just wanted to let her know. She told us next time to tell her and don’t come beyond the line or she will call the cops on us. She discounted some of the food which we didn’t ask for. We just wanted her to be made aware of her establishment. We left the waiter $3 tip- all that my dad had since he is a disabled vet on a fixed income. Came back inside to speak to the manager to get her name and her title to call corporate about it. The waiter said out loud “all they left was a lousy $3.” I said out loud “Well that’s better than nothing right.” Totally disrespectful and I spoke to the manager which I told her I will call about the treatment and experience, which I did. Won’t come back and will not...

Hi IHOP management of this Location. Let me start off by saying I am sure I speak on the Behalf of the community. We were sooo excited to have a IHOP Location in the heart of Saginaw but it has not been a very pleasant experience every time we have gone but I am always one who gives benefit of doubt. Who do I Blame for all the issues at this Location? MANAGEMENT. Why? Because their seems to be no leadership or proper training here. Our waitress was great or food was great BUT I could tell (from past experience as being a waitress myself) that she did NOT have the proper training. Like someone stated on another review ...we were sat and were not greeted for atleast 10 mins.... I had to literally turn my head around to be "seen". Apparently, the waitress that ended up serving us was not our waitress. She said she was too "nervous to greet us" and apologized over and over throughout the meal saying "I didn't want the other waiter to think I was taking their table".... in any other restaurant...thats not the mindset she should have!! (aka not proper training) it's called TEAM WORK. If they were properly trained CORRECTLY, they would all know to help each others sections out if the restaurant is "busy". They would know that if they see a table not greeted, to atleast greet that table and get their drink order and pass the word on the the waiter if it isn't their table! Great leadership and management is definitely missing at this Location & it is very sad and upsetting! Not to mention, the restrooms here are disgusting & are so dirty you'd think this IHOP was here for over a decade. This is the sad truth and hate to give such a bad review but I think it needs to be said. I honestly felt bad for the waitress we had because I could tell she was genuinely was trying but is missing the proper training that all restaurants usually take...2 stars because I feel bad for all who work here & for the IHOP food since ita always Great &...

We visited IHOP today to enjoy breakfast at the start of my birthday, arriving around 10:30 AM. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we hoped. We were seated promptly, but after waiting nearly 20 minutes, we had to ask for a server to take our order. Once the server arrived, she took our order, but 45 minutes later, we still didn’t have our food. We requested to speak with the manager, who eventually came over looking nervous. (I didn’t catch her name, but she was blonde.) We explained that we had been waiting over an hour, and she apologized, assuring us our food would be out soon. Shortly after, our server returned for only the second time since we arrived and said, "Your food will be right out." Another 30 minutes passed, and we were finally served, but the meals were incomplete and poorly prepared. My pancakes were fine, but my daughter's kids' meal looked sloppy and unappetizing, and my husband’s chicken fried steak appeared as though it had been sitting in a warming window for ages. We asked a different server to call the manager again, as our server avoided the table. This time, the manager didn’t bother coming out. Instead, our server returned with more food (still incomplete) and informed us the manager had agreed we didn’t need to pay. At that point, I made it clear we weren’t asking—we had no intention of eating the food or paying for such terrible service after nearly two hours. Meanwhile, families who arrived after us had eaten, paid, and left. The manager never reappeared, and we left, deeply dissatisfied. If zero stars were an option, that’s what I would give this location. We’ll never return to IHOP again.

I usually go to a different IHOP but I decided to try this place since it’s near my house but never again! The server was unprofessional. I ordered the Steak tips, eggs, hash browns and French toast with strawberries… she didn’t ask me any questions… I asked her for plasticware since the silverware was dirty which I didn’t point to her because I didn’t want to give her a hard time since I could sense her she was having a bad day… she brought it out threw it on the table and walked off, I didn’t say anything but when She brought out my food everything else was good, but the French toast, she had added strawberry purée all over the French toast which I dislike. So I asked kindly to change my French toast and add fresh strawberries instead. She stood there with a straight face and mean stare me for a moment then responded “you didn’t say that, if you did I would’ve brought you the right strawberries” I said her “well you didn’t ask either” When she brought out my French toast, I said thank you then I tried to ask her for hot water for my tea and tres leches syrup for my french toast. As soon as I started speaking to her, she cut me off and said “Uhmmm you have syrup right there” I was like that wasn’t what I was going to ask. She brought it out and said “Just like you asked with an attitude ” and walked off! After all I still tipped her because I feel like ever server deserves to be tipped for the service. I usually don’t ever leave any reviews, good or bad but I had to do it today! Thank you for the horrible service “Mary F”
