Not impressed with this location so far. I've enjoyed Qdoba here and there for years. Used to stop at the Kansas truck stop with a location every time I had a load that took me by. I grab some nachos every time with chips on the side so they don't get soggy before I get them home or wherever.
I've been to this Fort Worth/Saginaw location twice now. The first time was a couple months ago. It was decent, and food was good for the most part. Made it through the nachos, but when I tried to finish off the chips by themselves, there was something off beyond them being too salty, but I couldn't quite place my finger on it but couldn't stomach them sans toppings. At least they weren't so bad that I was able to finish the nachos so I moved on.
This time though, the flavor is so off on the chips that even the rest of the food cannot cover it up. The chips are crispy which is good. They are also salted so heavily that if you spill them in your yard, things may never grow again, which is not so good. But more than anything, they (this batch at least) taste of old/rancid oil. Absolutely 99.98% inedible. The 0.02% is just how much you eat to make sure it isn't some strange unexpected/unfamiliar seasoning as some places are want to do.
I can forgive the dry steak, it at least still tastes decent. I can forgive the terrible cardboard bowl that spills a good portion of my food into the plastic bag on the way home. What has been done to these chips however, is a crime against humanity. A salty, salty, salty, and rancid crime against humanity.
That being said, the staff were friendly and helpful both times I've been. The portions are filling, which at the price, they should be. Even without the chips it was still easily a full meal. If you set aside the disappointment in the chips, which I can't but maybe you can, I would say it could even be considered an enjoyable meal.
Honestly I may give them another try in the distant future when the trauma from this assault on my taste buds fades a little from memory, but I'll be sure to test a couple chips...
Read moreI walked in to your store location at 4540 Bailey Boswell to pick up an order. When my daughter and I walked in, one of the employees asked for the name of the order and she said they were working on it. There was no one at the counter working on anything. In fact, another girl stepped up to the counter a few minutes later and asked the name and when I told her what the previous girl said, she said "huh" in a very unprofessional tone. She started making the order at that time. Same girl that was unprofessional, threw the order on the counter next to the register and walked away. She didn't say the order was ready. I walked over to see if it was my order and it was. She didn't even attach the receipt to the bag as it was also thrown on the counter next to the bag. I walked over to her and said to her "I'm going to assume this is my order being that you just threw it on the counter without letting me know it was ready." She ignored me. I asked her three times what her name was and she refused. She did not have a name tag. I told her I was going to be reporting her to corporate and her response was "I don't care." There was another employee working behind her at the grill and I asked her what this employees name was. She looked at me and said "why, is there a problem?" I never was able to get a name but I can give a description.
Each employee that I interacted with was unprofessional and should not be working with the public. There is no managers name outside the door and honestly, ever since Jeff left this location, the atmosphere has declined big time. The employees used to be very friendly and professional and helpful but the last several times I've been in there it has not been like this at all. It seems there are to many young people working there with no older adult supervision and they just run it like...
Read moreI don’t like giving bad reviews and rarely ever do, but this is the third time I’ve been to this location and the experience is always the same. I like Qdoba, but the employees are very unwelcoming and are usually too busy socializing with each other or focused on closing the place down two hours before the closing time. The store closes at 10 and my first visit (6 months ago) was at 9pm. I wanted veggies in my bowl and they said they were out. I asked if I could wait until they made more and they said they weren’t going to make more. I could understand if I was walking in right before they lock the doors, but this was an hour before closing. The second time I got there at 8pm and, again, unwelcoming. They all seem like they’re annoyed that I’m there and are focused more on closing. Everything is running low and they’re giving me the smallest portions possible to keep from running out. Today, same thing. I had to ask for more veggies because I literally got a pinch of two peppers and maybe three onions. The guy that made my food was putting on a noticeable fake professional act once he noticed me, but it definitely doesn’t seem like customer satisfaction is a priority. I’m a really nice, patient guy and don’t like conflict or putting out bad vibes. I’m really easy to please and my wife would say I’m a pushover, but there is a limit. I’m sorry if getting there two hours before closing time is a bother because they might have to make more food (which they won’t do), but I get off work at 7 or sometimes 8pm so I can’t always get...
