Sarah's Place — Restaurant in Fort Worth

This is a little long.: We were looking for a bar that we hadn’t been to and we found Sarah’s Place. Looked at pics and what it looked like. When we got there it seemed low key which was nice. We sat at the bar since there was only a few people there as it was a Sunday night. Our conversation led us to a time where my daughter’s volleyball team had to play an all boys team in the championship game and got crushed. That led us to talking about transgenders playing in sports. At this point the bartender took it amongst herself to tell us her son was transgender. To which I said “ok? Does he play girl sports and she said no he doesn’t play sports”. So I said “ok we aren’t even talking about him then”. She told us well I’m just telling you. Then a guy at the end of the bar decided he would get involved in our conversation and started telling us we needed to change the topic. We actually tried to talk to him and the bartender and got nowhere. At a certain point the guy and the bartender told me “you realize you’re in a gay bar right”? I was caught off guard cause nothing in the bar had signified this. I couldn’t have cared less if it was. Our conversation was about boys playing against girls. We finally gave up and decided to leave. A few days later I was told by someone familiar with the bar that it had a reputation of being just what the bartender and other customer said they were. I’m not saying we didn’t get loud and argumentative during the conversation but I do think the bartender and customer should’ve stayed out of our conversation. I’ve been a bartender and had to ignore conversations I didn’t agree with. It was a very enjoyable hour or so while we were there and we were excited to find another local bar. This early around 2am I was witness to an altercation between a guest and the so called bartender. After being to Sarah’s place a hand full time of, I have always felt welcome and appreciated. It’s always a place where everyone has a good time. Which is why it is hard to write a post like this. Please keep in mind that my opinions are non bias cause I did now either party. What I did see was hear “ don’t ever come back drugged out horror.” Come from the bartenders mouth. This poor girl was shocked and hurt. After finding out it was her bday, I could tell she was a little inhbrated. Which means she was over served. So things escalated until one of partons started in on the girl. Totally unnecessary. I have never heard these words be spoken to anyone. I tried to persuade the girl to leave and finally walked her side. Stepping out the front door I noticed the the same customer from inside walking aggressively towards the young woman. They angerly exchanged words. That was the exact moment the the drunken bar guest struck the victim. Closed fist no less. I jumped from my car to offer aid. He threated me. So I dialed 911 and reported his truck and license plate. Sarah’s place is one of my favorite bars and I hate to think Of them like this. But I will not be returning and I urge everyone to make a conscious effort to not be yourself in a place where your supposed...

Like is I could give this place a big fate zero I so would .... first of let's start of with the worst karaoke kj ever like if u look up worst karaoke kj on Google I'm pretty sure his face pops up and that's not even the worst part about this awful place they charge you to sing even if u don't sing at all like uf you don't get up to sing a single song your still geting a cover charge ro sing karaoke it's $5 now it's not even the cover charge I mind because I love karaoke it him and how bad he is of a kj now the bartenders are koo but if I have to pay for karaoke and I'm not even going to sing why am I geting charged the cover price of karaoke yeah it makes no since it like I'm paying for a car I don't drive nor want to or paying for a bank I don't use ...look go if you want but expect to leave paying for what you didn't even do or want by the worst kj on...
