Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Fort Worth

The GM returned my call today. We had a conversation about these issues and he assured me he’s going to talk to everyone involved including the manager on duty Tuesday night asap. He offered us a dinner for 2 on the house to try and make our horrible visit right, so we will revisit soon on a night the GM is there and hopefully we have a much better experience.

My husband I visited for dinner last night. He got a strip I got a filet. He ordered his medium rare and I ordered mine medium well. My medium well steak came out almost bloody. My husband’s medium rare was more cooked than mine. They took it back, and the manager, John, brought it back out and had me check it. All the kitchen did was bring it back up to temperature they didn’t cook it more. The outside was practically charred but the inside was still red. They took the plate off the table and I said I didn’t want that steak that nobody wants to eat a steak that’s been cooked 3 times. The manager walked away and never came back and sent the young waitress to apologize to us for a mistake that had nothing to do with her. I got a baked potato and a salad for my sides, my husband got a baked potato as well. Neither of our potatoes were fully cooked, and neither potato had butter we had to ask for butter. My salad had brown lettuce all in it and I had to pick around the brown lettuce. I was never offered a new steak after the mistakes that were made with my original steak, all I was offered was an additional side which at that point I didn’t want. So for dinner I had a bit fully baked potato and a brown salad and no apology from the manager. Mind you this was on a Tuesday night during normal dinner hours with no wait times, this was not a busy...

We were really wanting to try this new location because it is a lot closer to our house. We love and eat Texas Roadhouse all the time. I was very skeptical after reading the reviews which ended up being spot on for what we were needing. I called to get on the waitlist for a party of eight. The lady that answered the phone said she was going to get with her manager to get an accurate quote for our party to be on the waitlist. She put me on hold for about four or five minutes, then picked up and asked the same questions she asked the first time. I reminded her that she was getting with her manager to get us on the waitlist. She said, oh yes, sorry. I called for my manager but she didn’t answer. Let me get your number and I will call you back. I insisted to wait because I didn’t want to take any chances. After two or three more minutes, she came back and said she can’t find her manager and put me on hold again. I waited for four more minutes with no resolution. I hung up and called our normal location in Northlake. We got on the waitlist and received a text message in less than two minutes. It’s not really that hard. Apparently the manager at this location does not seem like the correct fit from what I read in the reviews. I can’t speak for the food, just yet, but I’m sure it’s not great from what everyone is saying. We will give this location some time to get their stuff together before we try it out. This is the worst location so far! I got sick after eating here !!! I came on the grand opening day just to be told the wait was 20 minutes ended up being an hour. I got accused of being underage to drink when i was sharing a drink with my sister. I offered to show my drivers license ID as proof im not underage and that im of legal alcoholic drinking age and the employee refused to let me show it to her. We were watched the whole entire time and told im not allowed to share drinks with anyone even after offering to show proof of my age. The pork chops were raw and undercooked in the middle, they were so red I threw up after biting into them. The mashed potatoes were ice cold. It’s funny how other Texas Roadhouse locations let you share margaritas without watching your every move and harassing you. I was harassed at this location accused of not being 21 or over by the employees here. Pathetic! If you are young looking or don’t have gray hair better have your whole set of documents ready for these people who wanna act like the FBI just for one margarita! Go to lake worth location instead if you don’t wanna be harassed watched constantly treated like crap and have cold nasty food. None of my table finished our cold food . Pathetic!!! DO BETTER !!!
