If I could give zero stars I would. 7/30/23. Had just gotten off from a 14 hour shift, exhausted and starving and needing to pick up dinner for me and my spouse. As I drove by I only saw 4 cars in the drive thru and I got in line- Whataburger sounded great. This turned out to be a HUGE mistake. I knew this was going to be a bad experience when it took more than 25 minutes for the car at the head of the line to get their single bag of food. I would have left then but was now trapped in the line. I placed my order and waited.. and waited.. and waited.. at 45 minutes I was finally at the window. 10 minutes later I was finally acknowledged and paid for my order and recieved my drinks that had obviously been sitting for a while. Another 20 minutes passed and a young man came to the window and asked me to pull around front. I asked him "how much longer is my order going to be? I have been here over an hour already" He told me "Sorry, it should only be 2-3 minutes. It takes longer because we use fresh meat" I pulled around front and waited another 30 minutes. Nothing. So I decided to go inside and asked what could possible be taking an hour and a half for two burgers. Apparently the manager was "doing inventory" but another manager from the kitchen came to the front and said "oh, I'm about to make your order now" Realizing my order had not even been started, I demanded my money back- this took another 15 minutes. During this time I listed to every excuse- the main one being that they "had a lot of online orders" I have been a restaurant manager for more that 25 years- the excuses did NOT fly with me. You ALWAYS prioritize the customers in front of you over online orders. After leaving with my cash refund and no actual food. I drove to Taco Bell, got my order and was home within 15 minutes. My family will NEVER be spending money at this location EVER again. We will drive the extra 2 miles to the location at Eastchase. No customer should EVER have to wait more than an hour and a half for food. Absolutely ridiculous and inexcusable. I found the sign on the door funny because it says "Decade" on it and that's how long it takes them to...
Read moreMy 2nd time eating inside and both times customer service is rude. They obviously don't like there jobs. 1rst time person taking my order acting like I was bothering her just by being there. While me and my disabled clients ate staff began arguing and yelling. This was over the summer of 2022
Today 2nd time dining in 1/27/24. Me and my clients dined in again. We all ordered our meal separately and paid separately. We each had a number. We all were handed our trays according to our numbers. My client who isn't going to look at his food before chowing down started eating on my jalapeño burger. Oh no! He order a regular cheese burger with fries and I ordered a jalapeño burger with onion rings. My burger ended up with his fries and handed to him. His burger ended up with my onion rings and handed to me. So I went up to fix the problem because I'm not gonna eat on a burger that my client ate on and he doesn't like jalapeños. Anyways as soon as I walk up to the counter with both buggers in hand I'm not sure if she was a manager but her clothes were different than the rest of the staff she had instant attitude and she might of been having seizure all the times she rolled her eyes at me while I tried to explain the issue. She totally made me feel like I was wrong for asking them to fix it. So what I ended up getting was jalapeños for the plan burger and a new cheese burger. And when it was handed to me I tried to get confirmation of what kind of burger they were handing me and I got a shrugged shoulder. And still had to ask again for my cup of jalapeños which was another attitude. Omg! I will never step foot in this establishment again. I'll try the whataburger on eastchase and pray I at least get treated like a valued customer. And if not I'll completely do with you whataburger. Horrible!
Oh! And we had to be super careful while walking. The floors were so slippery that we were all afraid of slipping. Pretty much every customer in there was walking with caution....
Read moreGreat experience, BUT!!! Anyone that goes to this location during the day knows that Miss Lori is just as sweet as she can be. So a few weeks ago I had a business meeting in the restaurant and Miss Lori took great care of us. I wanted to give her a financial blessing but didn't have the cash on me that day to do it. Today I go back because I know she's there and was able to bless her for being so pleasant. She was very excited and thanked me, gave me a hug and told Samuel the manager at the front who congratulated her. Now this next part may not have anything to do with what happened, but from a business perspective, it did NOT look good. I notice a female manager with glasses on sitting in the office and she opened the door and had, for lack of a better word, a scowl on her face. Again, it may not have had anything to do with the interaction between Miss Lori and I, but it was apparent she witnessed our exchange on the security monitor. After Miss Lori and I finished, the manager yells to Miss Lori in an aggravated voice to "come here", and after the door closed I could hear yelling in the dining room coming from the office. Of course Miss Lori returns still sweet as ever. I don't know the female manager nor do I know what the discussion was about, but I certainly do know that as a businessman AND customer who was thanking an pleasant Whataburger employee, it did not look good. Our elderly are jewels and should be treated as such. Even if Miss Lori did something inappropriate, I believe there's a better way to handle it. You don't know how many people come in just because they know for the time they are there Miss Lori is going to treat them like they are the most important person in the world. Treat her well with dignity, kindness and respect, because you just may be...
