Where to begin. Well, I don’t usually go to Dairy Queen, but I heard about the free cone day. I wish they specified that’s it’s only the vanilla or chocolate shell, and that other flavors are an additional $.50. And I spent a good amount of time at the drive thru only to find out that you have to go inside to get the free cone, so I parked and ordered it as well as a meal, I mean, why not, I’m already there. I paid the $.50 for the confetti flavor and waited for my order. Someone called out my order number and my food was on a tray, so I asked if it could be To-Go since I was never asked that at the register. Well, the employee was talking kinda rude teaching me how to fold the box up as if I didn’t know how and as if I worked there. Uh..I just asked if it could be To-Go. I did not need to be talked to like I was a kid. But whatever. I asked for my ice cream and well, they don’t have the confetti flavor that I paid for. Only vanilla, chocolate or cherry, so I ordered the cherry flavor and the employee said I’d get my money back. With that in mind, I thought it was free. I know that I probably should’ve just let it go, but it’s hard times when it comes to money, so I waited only to find out from someone else that went to the register that the cherry costs $.50. What a hassle, so I just left. They really need to work on their communication in that place. It’s a mess! Also, no wonder they still have the cherry flavor and ran out of the others, it tasted like a cough drop. I should’ve known. Cherry flavored stuff usually do.
So I also ordered the steak finger meal, which was pricy for the lack of quality I received. I could’ve bought a meal for the same price at a Red Robin or another restaurant that would really give me my money’s worth. For my drink, I got sprite and it had such a weird aftertaste. Could be from the ice machine that needs cleaning. The steak fingers were decent and tasted better when dipped in the gravy. The fries lacked flavor and weren’t good at all. And the toast was soggy. Overall, a...
Read moreI can see why this location isn’t included on the DQ TX app, wouldn’t be surprised if they’re disenfranchised. Been trying to get a Dr Pepper freeze here for a few weeks. It’s just Dr Pepper blended with soft serve. Every time at the speaker they acknowledge the order and seem to understand it. We’ve even tried just saying “dr pepper blended with soft serve” and when we get to the window they hand us Dr Pepper. Only then do they say “oh the machine isn’t working” OR “we don’t do that here”. If they were consistent with “we don’t do that here” I could have stopped trying a while ago and just gone to the farther DQ. But most of the time they say the machine isn’t working… as if DQ has one single vanilla soft serve machine. If I order this inside I find out right away that the machine is broken (as usual) but if I order at the drive through I don’t find out until I get to the window. It’s the inconsistency that drives me crazy and really makes me feel like the employees just don’t feel like making it, so they keep coming up with excuses. Is the machine broken every single day, or is it an item they don’t “do” at just this location? I literally just want Dr Pepper mixed with soft serve. Every other DQ does it and it’s pretty simple so idk why this would be the one item this DQ refuses to make. And why they don’t just immediately refuse at the drive through speaker instead of nonchalantly handing over a regular soda at the window???? I just can’t figure out a reason for the inconsistency besides that they don’t feel...
Read moreI wish I could choose no stars because that is how I would rate this bane of the DQ name. For months my family waited for this one to open and EVERYTIME we go it's terrible. It started with the order of chili cheese fries that didnt even cover the bottom of the container to then be argued down by the manager Tony that per HQ they measure the fries and that the amount is standard.. I just wanted my more fries. The next time i tried to order my fries the way the nice girl told me to, Texas size add chilli and cheese. Tony once again comes and says you cant do that you have to order 2 regular size fries then add the chilli and cheese... 😐😐😐Ok... This past time which will be the LAST TIME, the burgers were cold and tasted like Burger King.I opened up the burger it's in pieces and one side has grill marks while the other side looks like it was boiled in water, and the fries were cold and soggy. I then call the store to be made to leave a message. I get a call back 2 hours later from who else, Tony. With a very condescending tone he asks me what was wrong with the meal. At the end he asks me what did I do with the food, I told him i threw it in the trash; I had broke my diet for that burger, there was no way i was eating the rest!!! Tony then says well if you go get it out of the trash and bring it back.... I didnt even let him finish! I will NEVER EAT...
