Have been here twice and review has stayed the same at 3 stars. Honestly food was between 2 or 3, customer service was 4 and 5 the second time. First time got my order wrong and food overcooked. I asked for the cod with shrimp combo and got the cod special with fried cucumber, fried okra, hush puppies sticks, and a side of fries. Second time I got the catfish shrimp combo with fried cucumber, hush puppies, and a cup of gumbo. The cod was flavorless and Could easily tell it was cheap Walmart type cod. The catfish seemed like it came straight from the lake. Smell was strong and had the gray part on the part next to the skin. Didn't enjoy it much. The shrimp was the only thing that was of good quality but the batter brought the taste down. Everything(the cod, catfish, shrimp, cucumber, and okra) was fried with the same homemade type fish batter. Don't get me wrong, The batter isn't bad but it gets tiring when everything tastes like it. The fries tasted straight like fish like if it's all fried in the same oil. The gumbo was OK. It was very light and more of a soup. It was missing a lot of Cajun spices. Again some ppl might prefer it but have hardly seen anyone sell gumbo where the base is not thick. Did get a good amount of shrimp and veggies. Some of the okra was good and some was woody where I had to spit the skin out. Both times service was really good. They are super nice and that's why I returned a second time to give them another chance. They offered all the sauces and condiments and asked to refill my drink again when my food was done. For the prices I expected a lot better food though. First time I spent 12 for food and 3 on tip and second time it was 15 on food and 3 on tip. So it's quite pricey. I doubt I would return but if I do it'd be for the shrimp but highly doubt it. There's plenty of other safe places on my list.

Zeke’s Fish n Chips is basically a Fort Worth institution serving up their signature fried seafood and sides since 1971. This small, unsuspecting, hole in the wall is absolutely not to be missed if you’re a fan of Beer battered flakey white Cod fish, hush puppies and fried vegetable sides. The only thing tastier than the fried Cod is their fried Clams! Served so hot you can barely chew them, they dissolve like savory clouds in your mouth when they hit your tongue. We do not place an order here without including fried Clams! The Avocado sandwich is a great choice for Vegetarians as is their fried Corn nuggets, Zucchini, Mushrooms, Okra and Eggplant. The house made dips and sauces are next level, too, with my all time favorite being their Dill Ranch! My parents have been bringing home dinner from Zeke’s for over 40 years! Our Order: Fried Clams, the fried Beer battered Cod platter, fried zucchini and fried corn nuggets. The meal includes several complimentary Hush Puppies with each person’s order. Grab some of that room temperature butter to melt them in because Hush Puppies not drenched in butter aren’t even legit. Pros: The drive through window means dinner without having to leave the comfort of your car. The sauces are as wonderful as the food and the service is awesome - both in person and through the take out window! Cons: Honestly, the only complaint is the lack of parking, but the restaurant is limited in the building it’s in. Everything else is beyond stellar!

As we walked in and surveyed the inside of this restaurant, it looked similar to some old European pubs, so we decided to dine in after ordering at the counter. Prices are reasonable enough. They serve okra, corn nuggets and fried pickles, but i decided to try my favorite Fish & Chips, and an Eggplant sandwich for my son. The order was fast enough to compete with drive thru restaurants. The food was delivered to our table by a very pleasant, and friendly waitress named Kerry. The fish was thinly battered and cooked just right. It was really crispy and the cod fish inside was flaky and delicious. The fries also did not have that oily taste. If i closed my eyes while eating this fish and chips soaked in malt vinegar, it would not be hard to imagine and feel that i was in a London restaurant. The eggplant sandwich that must have been battered with spices before deep frying it, was at another level. I never tasted anything like it before and i will for sure order it again. We were not full after eating, but well satisfied.

Ok folks, listen up, Here is how it works. NEVER LOOK AT THE GOOD REVIEWS THERE RIGED BY THE RESTAURANT.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS GO TO THE BAD REVIEWS, THATS THE KEY. if there are none or vary little than it's a good place.

But I looked at the bad reviews and there was a bunch and they all said the same thing. Basically everything. I experienced yesterday is what there saying.

I could have went to David beard's catfish for the same price. And got the salad bar with beans, col slow, loaded bake potato, hush pupys. And the cat fish is so fresh you swear it's Krispy chicken.

I told my friends.I did not want to eat here because I read the bad reviews but My friends. Want to try different places and give it a shot. o k this is what experience folks. I ordered the catfish with 2sides. THE CAT FISH WAS SLIMY, MUSHY AND WET IN SIDE AND HAD A FISHY SMELL after I told them extra Krispy. None of the food had any seasoning. The okra was slimy and RANCID LIKE FRYED CARDBOARD. AND IN THE REVIEWS I READ THAT THE FRYS WERE REFRYED SO MENY TIME IT WAS SO HARD AND TAST LIKE OLD OIL, Everything tasted like old oil. Oh yeah.I was so taken back by the food that I totally forgot that.I didn't get the fries but when I told the them, they gave me my side of frys and it was just as the above said.

I didn't complain because i knew I would never come back. This place is so bad that it was like eating from the dumpster. I could of had a better meal from the frozen section at Walmart Van camp frozen fish and Season carly fries put in the air fryer and Would have been head over hills better...

I generally love this place. I don't come frequently, but it's a little hole in the wall place that I love taking visitors. But this time was terrible. Not only did it take upwards of 30 minutes just to take the order, but the woman at the counter just did not seem enthused about doing her job. It took a good 20 minutes just for her to get to us, after being told it would take "just a moment", but in between and during the 4 transactions we had, she would get distracted, which lengthened a 2 minute interaction to about 5+ minutes, with us having to repeat ourselves. The food arrived quickly, and tasted good, except for the mayo on the chicken sandwich. When confronted with this error, the chef insisted that she had made it herself and that there was no mayo on it; that it was Swiss cheese. Mind you, while we were ordering, I heard the same woman try to make two chicken sandwiches instead of one chicken and one catfish. And Swiss cheese and mayo don't have the same consistency. All we asked was a new sandwich. When it came to us, the sandwich wasn't put together. The chicken, tomato, lettuce and bun were all apart as a passive aggressive show that we, the customers, were wrong. It was insulting and our quickly declining appetite was all but diminished. On our way out, we wished the staff a good day, despite the awful service, only to receive a glare and a harsh "Uh uh" in a no like manner. Needless to say, I am VERY disappointed that this was the service I got, when I spoke so highly of this place to 4 new people. Not sure if I'll recommend this...
