We decided to try going in and sitting down for a birthday dinner tonight, we usually order takeout from here and it’s usually a hit so we figured we would sit down and explore the menu. We had no idea what kind of place this was, almost like fast food. Nobody greeted us and told us how it worked or seated us. As it was we finally found out you order food and drinks then seat yourself, serve your own drinks etc. they do serve your food to you at the table however it is nothing like a traditional sit down restaurant, you have to leave a tip before you even see your food which I do not like at all. We stood up front for five minutes waiting to be seated then I finally asked twice, “do we wait here” then finally the cashier let us know how it works here. $130 later we were on our way to find a table which was very small for a family of 4. Food delivery was not timed at all and we all received our meals at different times and there was not enough room on the table for all of our food. The food is tough to rate. My wife’s nachos were pretty good and served quickly. My daughter’s chicken was a few minutes later and was decent. My tri tip came next a few minutes later and the meat was good however the mashed potatoes and beans were maybe a 2 on a good day. Finally my other daughters Alfredo came about 15 minutes after the first meal and was flavorless and dry. I am being very nice rating the food at a 4. Overall I would probably order a family meal by takeout again but I would never sit in the restaurant again, it was uncomfortable and a bit confusing plus the large gaps between meals seemed very disorganized. For the price of the food I do not feel like it is a good value and left much to be desired. I was very disappointed with the whole experience since all of the past takeout orders were excellent and now my opinion of this place is down quite a bit and may not order again.

Would be 5 for food but service a little wacky. That was my review 2 years ago. I do love the BBQ salad both chicken and tri tip. But we had a special event tonight. My son got engaged and we had 6 people (ala Covid) for dinner. Well I still stand by my review of the salad, yummy bread sticks and garlic mashed potatoes. But the tri tip was aweful. We ordered 2 one bbq one pepper garlic. Both were super tough. Sometimes that happens but the pepper garlic didn't have the silver skin removed and was sliced improperly and not all the way thru. The silver skin was left attached to each slice making it impossible to remove a single slice from the roast. Just a mess. Very frustrating and frankly unacceptable for what is charged for a whole tri tip. Needless to say a restaurant known for a variety of good food but bbq meats kinda the specialty I don't see how this could happen. It's going to be a while before I come back. Kinda breaks my heart because this is err was a go to place for us. 🙁

We arrived after 2:00 pm and there were only a handful of customers dining at the time. This is a restaurant where you order and pay first then seat yourself. This was our first time dining with Stonefire Grill so we were very slow and tentative asking many questions, despite this the cashier who greeted us and took our order was very patient and helpful answering our questions and making suggestions. The server who brought us our dinners was very eager and accommodating providing us with our requests promptly and making us feel right at home. The food well prepared and made with quality ingredients. The coleslaw was wonderful, not the usual sweet version but a much better tasting version that I loved. Reminded me of a recipe my mother used to make for us when we were growing up. The chicken and brisket were very delicious, I recommend the BBQ chicken and the tri-tip with their garlic sauce.

I wanted to share a great experience I had Friday night at Stonefire Grill in Fountain Valley. We went to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. As we entered, we were greeted by a team member named Kayla, who welcomed us with a cheerful smile & a friendly hello. She was at the register, ready to take our order, yet she waited very patiently while we decided. This always take a while since they have so many delicious options. She even laughed at all my dad jokes while we figured it out. We decided on the stimulus package, & Kayla went over all the options and helped us with all the changes we wanted to make. She read the order back to us perfectly(including all the changes). Kayla even made sure to ask for our phone # for their rewards program, which is awesome, by the way. To my surprise, I had a $40 reward, which means my wife and family eat here way too often without me. Later, towards the end of our dinner, the manager came over and introduced herself as Kelly. She was going table to table, letting everyone know that they were closing the drink machines for the night and wanted to make sure we had a chance to get refills. She then asked how everything turned out and chatted with us for a while. She was super engaging and was fun to talk to. My wife asked if we could still order dessert since it was her mom's birthday. Kelly asked her what she wanted for dessert and happily brought her a slice of their amazing carrot cake. That was so awesome of her. Definitely an example of how they make sure you have a wonderful experience. Their managers and staff always show how much they care, which is one of the reasons we keep frequenting this Stonefire Grill.

Thanks again, Kayla & Kelly, for going above & beyond to make sure my mother-in-law's birthday dinner was a great one. By the way, our dinner was as delicious as always & we had quite a bit...

I visited this place back in December of last year. I've never had a worse experience in my life dining at a restaurant. The cashier was rude since she gave my friend an attitude because we didn't know we had to pay upfront. The menu was confusing and i only had a minute or two to choose what i was going to order so I didn't get anything for myself. Only my friend ordered. But when I was chatting with my friend at the table I felt thirsty and I asked for a cup of water to a server I believe that was walking around. She said she couldn't give me water because I needed to ask the cashier for a cup or pay for a cup. That was ridiculous. You get served some water at any sit down diner as soon as you sit down. But this place was refusing to get me some water. So I just gave up and waited for my friend to finish so we could leave. And as I was writing this review a friend next to me told me she also had a bad experience at this place and many neighbors at her apartment. And when I was trying to write a review on Google there is no option there anywhere to leave a review. That's why nobody is leaving bad reviews. So I'm gonna get a hold of Google and report this restaurant that users are unable to leave reviews or read past reviews. I had to do a research on Google to find this page so I could leave a bad review. OVERALL BAD RESTAURANT 👎BAD SERVICE!!...
