McDonald's — Restaurant in Four Corners States

Experience is not consistent. I've stopped here twice (once in 2023 and once just a few days ago in 2024) on my way to Page. The first time I came in 2023 we were pulled around to wait for our food. The order came and it was fresh, hot and exactly what we ordered. The second time just a few days ago we came through the drive thru and we were asked if we are using the mobile app. We said no and the guy said he'd be right with us. The other drive thru lane started going quicker as he was taking order and after order in the other lane. We spoke into the machine... hello? We are ready... hello? Car after car continued to pull ahead as we sat there unable to reverse due to cars behind us. After the 5th car pulled around we swung around them, and left the drive thru and went somewhere else. tldr: sold me food they didn’t sell, tried to say i was lying when i never receive it and refused to refund me rudest service of my life. bought a coffee and never received it when they brought me my other food. manager refused to give me my coffee. Manager refused to help or look up the order, told me I could dig through the trash for the receipt, an old lady help look through the trash while the manager sat by and watched. When I finally gave her my receipt she said they don’t sell that and tried to not give me back my money because THEY sold me something they didn’t have. Then made a show of making sure the numbers on the card matched like we just grabbed any receipt. Had to fight every step until she finally refunded me. We’ve been roadtripping cross-country for 2 weeks and stopped and dined at several McDonald’s along the way. Our experience at this location was A++! We arrived just in time for the lunch-rush of the town, and the team here at this McDonald’s did a remarkable job- one worth mentioning. The team was completing orders left and right, customers were moving in and out, extremely efficiently. All of the team behind the counter was helping out and working together to show what is really possible. McDonald’s restaurant reputation got an upgrade today based on our experience this time, at this one location, just passing by on a roadtrip.
