Far from perfect, but it's new to the area. So I'm going to keep a star to save face. Let's start off with the building itself. The beer garden is a nice place, it's unique and beautiful. Open atmosphere, picnic table seating, fake deer antlers hanging from the ceiling. It's nice, a bit cliche, but nice. The beer is good, but what would you expect for a large local brewery. They have enough choices for everyone's taste and a couple of their seasonals. But don't think this is a normal brewery. Nothing is brewed on site, everything is delivered in kegs, including their "cocktails". Yes, they don't have a full bar, no liquor. Except for their early 2000's cliche JƤgermeister dispenser sitting behind the bar. Next up is the food. First and foremost the pretzels, wow. Great pretzels. Both the cheese and mustard are good. The Spatzel Mac and Cheese is horrible. This recipe needs some work, it's not ready for prime time. The salads are...well they are salads. Nothing to write home about. Served to you in a bowl two sizes too small and with lettuce that only a large herbivore would enjoy. Nothing is bite size. Nothing is chopped or torn. Next up is the staff, the bar crew is absolutely fantastic, always checking in, and being helpful. Ready to provide any assistance with finding something enjoyable to drink
This review is decent in length but let me shorten it for you. If you want to grab a beer and socialize with friends and family and grab a snack. This is a good spot. You want great beer, a fantastic atmosphere and fantastic food, go to Breckenridge.
Three of of five stars. A work in progress and far...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I visited Prost for lunch on a Saturday. We had a group of close to 30 people, and it was a pre celebration for a friend's wedding in the evening.
I called ahead as my daughter has a handful of allergies, I wanted to make sure there would be food I could order for her.
Nick answered the phone, and was able to walk me through EVERYTHING. He was very understanding of my situation, and knowledgeable of their menu. He talked me through everything, and even called back to clarify something, even though I did not request him to do so.
When I arrived, I asked to speak to Nick, to thank him, but he also personally handled my order, brought the food to my table, and ensured everything was handled perfectly.
Later in the day, I ordered some more food through someone else, and when Nick saw the order he came to speak to me, let me know a mistake was made and that what we ordered would not be safe. (my niece was eating mac and cheese, my daughter wanted pasta then (dairy allergy) - I asked if we could just get the pasta from the mac and cheese, but it was already combined. The other staff member ordered just the noodle from the spatzle dish for me, however that has dairy in it. Nick caught this!) Nick offered to sub out an item, or simply refund the charge.
All in all Nick went above and beyond before and during our visit. I would have no reservations about going back often, as I felt completely comfortable and safe with the food my daughter would be served, and the beers were great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreProįŗt has a fantastic patrio, great beer, and some decent German food. But don't look for servers to come around rather you head up to either the bier counter or the food counter (they are seperate) and order drinks / food and pick them up yourself.
I would give them a 5 except for a couple things. (Pricing & Seating).
They have unfortunately priced their food at least $5 per dish too high for the biergarten theme and portions they are using. And if they were to add an inexpensive traditional brƶtchen+wurstchen mit scharfe senf dish that would really help.
They do have some TVs to watch fuįŗball / soccer, but they need to have more TVs and much more/better game day seating for German or USA Team games. They would also benefit from having a few game days specials on food as their menu is sparse when it comes to German bar food at a reasonable price ...
Perhaps adding game day Flammkuchen, Pommes mit Currywurst and a Bockwurst mitt Brƶt specials that are under $10 for those signature game days (EuroCup, a World Cup, Championship League) would really bring in the fans to pack out...
