Achilitos Taqueria — Restaurant in Foxborough

I love tacos... good tacos. There's not many places around Foxboro that sell good tacos - Achilito's Taqueria is a good quality Taco.

I see that many negative reviews here focus on the price, yes, it is higher than prices I pay when I go to Providence... but you also get more food. Tacos are probably double size of what I get in most Taquerias.

Meat choices are ok, ground beef (seasoned), Seasoned Pork, Pulled pork, steak, chicken, jalapeno chicken... no flavors for the adventurous type like cow tongue or brain, no pulled beef either.

They'll add sauces to the tacos as they make them - I would have preferred having a bottle or two of their own sauces at the table... but perhaps this is a covid-19 thing more than a normal way of doing things. I tried the hot sauce on mine, it was excellent, full of flavor.

I tried beef tacos, steak tacos, jalapeno chicken and pulled pork - all had good quality meat.

You have the choice of flower or corn tortilla if you want that choice.

Fried Plantains were a great treat to have with the Tacos

The passion fruit drink (or two other flavors) were great addition to the meal as well.

Not sure how to rate this place, ordering was sorta difficult because the board keeps switching and they don't have any other menus plus a slight language barrier and talking with masks made it a more difficult process than it needed to be. The tacos were really tasty I got 3 different ones plus chips and salsa just to try out a bunch of things. I asked to add pico, cheese and quac to each one, the extra cost for the quac would have been fine if it was a one time charge not for each taco they don't add enough for that. The salsa was warm, not spicy hot but actually warm which was strange. Didn't care for the chips either. Biggest issues is the cost, it was like $29 for this which is crazy high for what I got. Most taquerias I've been to I'd say that's $12-$15 worth of food at the most. I won't go back just because of how overpriced it was. I could grab 3 tacos and a couple beers for...

Wont' Return............ I ordered my food and after the order was completed, I was not allowed to pay for my order, due to previous patron who had ordered prior to me, returned to place a second order. I asked I could be checked out before doing the next order, which was agreed by the patron, but he refused aftrr several requests. I therefore asked to talk with a manager, at which time I was told, none of the 4-5 men that were present behind the counter spoke or understand english, despite having taken my order and was met with laughter. Very disrespectful and needs to be addressed...
