We went there on a Saturday night in April, after initially wanting banh mi from the place around the corner. When we found out that the place around the corner didn't have restrooms, my wife and kids and I consulted Google maps and landed on Foxboro House of Pizza.
When we walked in, I kind of immediately had my doubts, as there was the one bartender, and one lady at the takeout counter. And the place had a fair amount of people in it. But, there was a restroom, we were about an 90 mins from home, and needed to eat - so we stayed. Lots of New England decor - Bruins, Pats, Red Sox. I didn't see any soccer stuff but didn't look too hard.
The one guy at the bar came over and immediately took our order, which was impressive. We got a large veggie pizza (my daughter's choice), 2 kids spaghetti meals, one philly cheesesteak with lettuce and tomato, and an order of onion rings. The food was plenty, and we left happy. The kids meals are a good value for the amount of food you get. Bartender guy was very friendly.
Fast forward to when we get home, my wife realizes she must have left her purse there. I call, and yes, they have it. Too late to drive back before they close, so I go back Sunday morning at opening, and they have the purse. Nothing missing out of it. So to me, that's 5 stars.
To sum it up, this seems like a locals joint, on first glance it may seem short staffed, but the food comes out fast and the employees appear to be honest,...
Read moreI would give them 10 stars if it were possible. I just moved to Foxboro from Worcester, and Worcester had some of the best pizza in Massachusetts in my opinion. However, this restaurant has exceeded every single restaurant I’ve been to. The fried dough in particular was my favorite out of the meal I got, light and fluffy and the perfect amount of crispy and Joey and they even put cinnamon in it it’s fantastic. Their pizza is to die for, their calzones are amazing, and they even have great mozzarella sticks which I’ve always found to be difficult to get good ones!I would give them 10 stars if it were possible. During the quarantine currently there is only pick up and delivery, yet my food arrived hot and all in order in good shape. This is hands-down gonna be my favorite restaurant while I’m living in Foxborough. Thank...
Read moreSuper nice people working here. Kind of unexciting pizza however . The crust was really "bready" - not chewy in the least and almost fluffy in texture. Think French bread pizza from your home kitchen. It could definitely have been cooked further. It wasn't raw. It just needed some more time in the oven. Not bad. Not great either
Bacon was cooked perfectly but really lacked any flavor (smoke, tang, salt - anything) & sliced meatballs were as heavy on bread-filler as they were low on taste.
In a nutshell, if pizza was a teenage boy, this would be the one you'd want taking your daughter to the prom. Quiet, bland and a little soft. A pie from this place will always bring her home safe and early.
FHOP does have a bar though. And if you're having a few drinks the pizza will always...
