Ok, the rating I am giving is not good (I could always amend this at a later date) but I am attempting to approach this review with constructive criticism in mind. I want this business to thrive because Foxboro, in my opinion, is short on good cafes/coffee shops/bakeries. I realize the owner has just embarked on this business in a more commercial way by opening an actual location in the center of town.
We waited patiently for this bakery to open after months of anticipation. We just went to the new location and ordered a cinnamon roll, a couple of cupcakes, a macaroon and two small coffees. Here is a list of good and bad experiences from our visit:
They did a great job fixing the place up. We like the interior
The coffee wasn't bad but it would be better if they invested in a professional coffee machine and could offer cappuccinos, etc.
The cream on both of our cupcakes was very hard, not soft as you would expect. The cream was so hard in fact that I broke one of the teeth on my plastic fork. And there seemed to be far more cream than cupcake. Additional note: For customers eating inside metal utensils would be appreciated
We indicated to the girl at the counter we were eating inside and our pastry was not put on a plate but rather on paper. Not a good customer experience
An expansion opportunity would be to widen the options to include some sandwiches. The menu is already quite small and there was a small selection of pastries, too, when we went (mid-morning, weekday). This is not what you would expect from a bakery. No cake slices, no croissants, etc. that we could see
The young girl behind the counter needs a lot of training as she wasn't sure where many things were. That can be excused (expertise happens over time) but as we were leaving she looked up, didn't smile or say, 'Thank you, please come again' or anything like that. When your employees say this to customers when they exit it makes them feel appreciated. When your employees don't do this, it sticks out and not in a positive way
We will give it some time. There are adjustment periods, growing pains that happen with every new business. We will return in the future to see if the experience is any better but, for now, it was a bit of a disappointing experience. Our hope is the owner can grow this business, improve on things and be enormously successful over...

This is the second time I’ve ordered a custom cake from Sweetness and Honey & they did amazing both times. The first time I ordered a custom vegan cake for my friends 30th birthday and it was absolutely amazing. The second (and more recent) time I ordered was a gluten free cake for my brothers welcome home family party from his recent deployment. Many family members even commented how great the gluten free cake was. Kerri’s turnaround time is fast and is very responsive via email.
With both cakes I was able to send inspiration photos & let Kerri put her own spin on the decorative part of the cake and she did amazing both times. Not only did they look beautiful but they tasted amazing!
Kerri and her team are true professionals and very talented. Both times that I’ve visited in the store the people working the front desk were super friendly and helpful. I also love stopping in there randomly if I have a small event I want to get some last minute cupcakes or yummy treats for. When doing this, I recommend going early in the morning because they sell out fast on a Saturday morning (which isn’t surprising because their cupcakes are wicked good).
Thank you Kerri & team for providing amazing cakes. I will continue reaching out when in need of a cake or cupcakes for...
Read moreOrdered a naked cake with fruit on top a week prior to arriving in Foxborough as was visiting from out of town and was to celebrating my husband’s birthday.
Pros: 1- fast response to cake inquiry and online ordering process. 2- Pick up was easy and service was friendly. 3- overall good taste of cake
Now the cons… 1- cake had too thick of icing for a naked style cake 2- cake was very dense 3- cake was either frozen after baking with the fruit on top or they simply put frozen fruit on top of the cake.. Either way it led to a subpar cake. Picked up cake at 11h am and as soon as I reached the house 5 minutes later, the fruit had juice that had leaked down all the sides and pooled on top of the cake. The cake was placed in the fridge until eating it, at 8pm. The strawberries were still frozen at that time. This to me is certainly not acceptable to have frozen fruit on a 60$ cake. Fresh fruit as was requested would not have created the...
