UPDATE: After a previous visit where service was a letdown, I’m happy to say that my most recent experience at Temazcal was vastly improved, and I’m back to loving this place again! My boyfriend and I returned, and this time Antonio was incredibly welcoming and apologetic about our past experience. He really took the time to ensure we had a great meal, which we truly appreciated.
The service was so much better this time around. The staff was attentive, and our food came out at the right time, without any delays. Speaking of the food—it was absolutely incredible. The empanadas were perfectly crispy, and the filling was as flavorful as always. We also tried the chai martini, which was a delightful surprise! Big servings, and the flavors were spot on.
Overall, we had a fantastic time. I'm glad to see the improvements, and I’m definitely looking forward to returning. The food is still top-notch, and with better service, Temazcal is back to being one of our favorite spots.
I’ve been to Temazcal several times because I absolutely love the food, but the service is always a letdown. Unfortunately, this last visit was no different. My boyfriend and I went on Friday night, and the service was incredibly slow and inattentive.
We placed our drink order along with our food, and our food arrived before our drinks. Not only that, but the waiter didn’t inform us that they were out of chai syrup for our cocktail, and we had to ask about it after waiting a long time. When we finally chose other drinks, those took forever as well.
As for the food, we ordered empanadas, which are usually a highlight for us. They arrived with a soggy bottom, which was a bit of a disappointment. Despite that, the filling was still flavorful and enjoyable, and we didn’t let it ruin the dish.
We also ordered a Corona, which shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes to bring out, but we waited way too long for that too—especially considering the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. The staff didn’t seem to be paying attention to tables, and the whole experience felt disorganized.
It’s such a shame because I do love the food at Temazcal, and I’ll likely return since the food is consistently good. But if the service doesn’t improve, I’m not sure I’ll keep coming back regularly. They really need to fix the service issue to match the quality...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place! I Go in Boston in Seaport all the time. It’s right on the water and the view is amazing. The chips and dip that they give you for free when you first get there are ridiculous. They have a bean dip as well as two other types of salsa. One sweet and one spicy. All 3 are so good. I actually prefer the bean dip the best personally.
I used to always go to another restaurant in Framingham called Samba. An amamzing Japanese restaurant with to die for scorpion bowls . One of the main reasons I used to go there was because of the amazing service by their lead bartender Tonya.
Once Temazcal opened up Tonya saw a great opportunity in a much better organized corporate environment. I use to go to Samba 3-5 times per week. Tonya let me know that she was going to be switching restaurants. Now that Tonya has switched over to Temazcal I am able to get the best of both worlds. Out of this world Mexican cantina combined with amazing conversation and service from Tonya. She works Thursday - Sunday. So you’ll often find me at the bar those days.
As far as how the drinks go, you certainly will not find a better margarita anywhere else, even at Margaritas down the street. Because the bar has duel POS systems and barstock on both sides of the bar, you never have to wait long for another drink. The bar tenders here work very cohesively together to make sure everyone is taken care of. A true TEAM environment. The scotch selection here is also top-notch. 👌🏻
I certainly am not one to take the time to write reviews online. However after this new restaurant opened up literally across the street from where I live, I felt the need to let everybody know how amazing of an experience I always have when I go there.
If you ever get the time to check it out, certainly try to go on the weekends and ask for Tonya. She’ll have you laughing right out of your seat. And by all means definitely try one of her margaritas!

Read moreJust left what was one of the worst dining experience if not the worst dining experience of my life. So I arrive and immediately my wife and I are rushed to seat in some corner seat right by the door meanwhile the whole dining room is pretty much open. Nice booths open and everything but we get sat in this corner seat. Alright cool. So I proceed to get up after feeling uncomfortable & ask if we can sit somewhere else preferably a booth, she says that is a booth. Clearly she doesn’t know what a booth is because that’s not what it was, so another waitress came over and said I heard you wanted to change seats and we said yes and that we can sit wherever we want. Awesome! That’s all we were asking. So we move seats & the whole time I’m seeing people being poured water and attended on, meanwhile we are sitting there with no water nor offered any. The waiter comes and he’s a nice guy, takes our orders but still didn’t offer any water or was any poured for us. So I had to ask after he took our order if I could get some water. Waited about five mins, still no water and during that five mins we also got our food but didn’t have any silverware to eat it 🤦♂️🤦♂️. This prompted me to get up and speak to the hostess in a rage upset as to how this establishment was being ran. So much so, I didn’t even feel like eating and yelled audibly in the restaurant being that angry. No one contacted management or anybody to even give me assurance or check on their customer base to make sure everything was good because clearly it wasn’t. If you are a waiter and there is an issue, management should immediately get involved. The food & drinks were decent but the service gets an F! Ruined my whole date night after a nice day. Waste of money and I’m...
