UPDATE: After a previous visit where service was a letdown, I’m happy to say that my most recent experience at Temazcal was vastly improved, and I’m back to loving this place again! My boyfriend and I returned, and this time Antonio was incredibly welcoming and apologetic about our past experience. He really took the time to ensure we had a great meal, which we truly appreciated.

The service was so much better this time around. The staff was attentive, and our food came out at the right time, without any delays. Speaking of the food—it was absolutely incredible. The empanadas were perfectly crispy, and the filling was as flavorful as always. We also tried the chai martini, which was a delightful surprise! Big servings, and the flavors were spot on.

Overall, we had a fantastic time. I'm glad to see the improvements, and I’m definitely looking forward to returning. The food is still top-notch, and with better service, Temazcal is back to being one of our favorite spots.

I’ve been to Temazcal several times because I absolutely love the food, but the service is always a letdown. Unfortunately, this last visit was no different. My boyfriend and I went on Friday night, and the service was incredibly slow and inattentive.

We placed our drink order along with our food, and our food arrived before our drinks. Not only that, but the waiter didn’t inform us that they were out of chai syrup for our cocktail, and we had to ask about it after waiting a long time. When we finally chose other drinks, those took forever as well.

As for the food, we ordered empanadas, which are usually a highlight for us. They arrived with a soggy bottom, which was a bit of a disappointment. Despite that, the filling was still flavorful and enjoyable, and we didn’t let it ruin the dish.

We also ordered a Corona, which shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes to bring out, but we waited way too long for that too—especially considering the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. The staff didn’t seem to be paying attention to tables, and the whole experience felt disorganized.

It’s such a shame because I do love the food at Temazcal, and I’ll likely return since the food is consistently good. But if the service doesn’t improve, I’m not sure I’ll keep coming back regularly. They really need to fix the service issue to match the quality...

Absolutely love this place! I Go in Boston in Seaport all the time. It’s right on the water and the view is amazing. The chips and dip that they give you for free when you first get there are ridiculous. They have a bean dip as well as two other types of salsa. One sweet and one spicy. All 3 are so good. I actually prefer the bean dip the best personally.

I used to always go to another restaurant in Framingham called Samba. An amamzing Japanese restaurant with to die for scorpion bowls . One of the main reasons I used to go there was because of the amazing service by their lead bartender Tonya.

Once Temazcal opened up Tonya saw a great opportunity in a much better organized corporate environment. I use to go to Samba 3-5 times per week. Tonya let me know that she was going to be switching restaurants. Now that Tonya has switched over to Temazcal I am able to get the best of both worlds. Out of this world Mexican cantina combined with amazing conversation and service from Tonya. She works Thursday - Sunday. So you’ll often find me at the bar those days.

As far as how the drinks go, you certainly will not find a better margarita anywhere else, even at Margaritas down the street. Because the bar has duel POS systems and barstock on both sides of the bar, you never have to wait long for another drink. The bar tenders here work very cohesively together to make sure everyone is taken care of. A true TEAM environment. The scotch selection here is also top-notch. 👌🏻

I certainly am not one to take the time to write reviews online. However after this new restaurant opened up literally across the street from where I live, I felt the need to let everybody know how amazing of an experience I always have when I go there.

If you ever get the time to check it out, certainly try to go on the weekends and ask for Tonya. She’ll have you laughing right out of your seat. And by all means definitely try one of her margaritas!

Just left what was one of the worst dining experience if not the worst dining experience of my life. So I arrive and immediately my wife and I are rushed to seat in some corner seat right by the door meanwhile the whole dining room is pretty much open. Nice booths open and everything but we get sat in this corner seat. Alright cool. So I proceed to get up after feeling uncomfortable & ask if we can sit somewhere else preferably a booth, she says that is a booth. Clearly she doesn’t know what a booth is because that’s not what it was, so another waitress came over and said I heard you wanted to change seats and we said yes and that we can sit wherever we want. Awesome! That’s all we were asking. So we move seats & the whole time I’m seeing people being poured water and attended on, meanwhile we are sitting there with no water nor offered any. The waiter comes and he’s a nice guy, takes our orders but still didn’t offer any water or was any poured for us. So I had to ask after he took our order if I could get some water. Waited about five mins, still no water and during that five mins we also got our food but didn’t have any silverware to eat it 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. This prompted me to get up and speak to the hostess in a rage upset as to how this establishment was being ran. So much so, I didn’t even feel like eating and yelled audibly in the restaurant being that angry. No one contacted management or anybody to even give me assurance or check on their customer base to make sure everything was good because clearly it wasn’t. If you are a waiter and there is an issue, management should immediately get involved. The food & drinks were decent but the service gets an F! Ruined my whole date night after a nice day. Waste of money and I’m...

【Boston】Chain Mexican Restaurant ~ Not Bad at All!

Update Nov 2019: They've improved immensely since opening. We've explored other dishes on their menu too and have enjoyed what we've tried. My boyfriends favorite is the pork chop, and mine is something with mole. You must order the street corn - it's delicious! I should first start by saying that my boyfriend and I have been to the Temazcal in the Seaport of Boston numerous times. It is one of our favorite restaurants, so we were very excited to learn that one opened down the road from where we live. I wanted to give these guys 5 stars, but I think they have a lot to still work on if they want to emulate the location in the seaport. The service was pretty good, there was no problem there. But the food was not at the same caliber of delicious as it is in Boston. First off, the guacamole size was quite small and it had wayyyy too many large cut pieces of both jalapenos and serrano chillies. I enjoy heat, but I don't enjoy munching on large pieces of chillies in my quac. I am happy to report that their black bean dip, which they give you complimentary, was just as we remembered. My boyfriend ordered the skirt steak and I ordered my favorite - the chorizo enchiladas. The steak was good, but I was very disappointed with the quality of the chorizo and the enchiladas themselves. This certainly won't be the last time I visit because I recognize they just opened and are trying to get in their groove. Additionally, we visited on a Friday night which adds another layer of chaos to the kitchen.

I usually avoid writing negative reviews and try to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt when mistakes happen. However, I was disappointed with the service during lunch. My wife ordered a salad, but something seemed off about it. When I tasted it, it had an overwhelming vinegar like flavor that made it unappetizing. I mentioned it to the waiter, but my good-natured wife told me to let it go. I watched as the barely touched salad was taken away, yet the waiter didn’t seem to notice or ask if something was wrong. Then came the bill. We both ordered soda and had one refill each, only to find we were charged for the refills. Checking the menu on my way out, I saw no mention of refill charges—or even soda prices. It turned out to be $4 per soda. When I mentioned this to a manager, his only response was that no one had brought it up before, and he let me walk out without any further concern. While I could have made a bigger deal about it (and perhaps should have, considering I’m writing this review), I ultimately felt that if they didn’t care, there was no point. On a positive note, I did enjoy my mole enchiladas.
