First of all let me say that I love there food.personally before today ,I wouldnt go anywhere else when I felt like Mexican food .I am a loyal customer . But , today I came through drive thru .and was the only customer in line .so I pull up and I see two guys/cooks just cutting up laughing in the kitchen while my 2 tacos and 1 burrito was setting there on the table . Can't really blame them .maybe there just kitchen staff. But , the guy that works the window . Was at the front desk laughing with some customer .not tending to nothing just laughing and talking . Then he comes to the back/kitchen/drive thru window area. And I thought he was going to bag my food up keep in mind I'm the only customer in drive thru . Didn't see any other customer inside waiting either . Other then whoever he was talking too .So he comes Around to the kitchen area with the other two employees and starts laughing and talking to them .while I'm waiting 9 foot away at window.not even thinking of bagging up my food that was literally right under his nose .by then 15 minutes has passed and my food was on table ready to be bagged for at least 10 of those minutes . I felt very unappreciated as a loyal customer .and thought it wasn't to professional the way they handled there business today . Not a good way to start...

Update: I have been going to this restaurant since they have open and I always sung high praises of them because I absolutely love their food. Have gotten several of my coworkers eating here also. Today I decided to treat a coworker to lunch because she just recently was promoted. I went and picked up what we have been getting for months and it came completely different than what we have always gotten. The container was pretty much packed with nothing but fajita veggies, lettuce, and some kind of water down liquid. No enchilada sauce and MAYBE 3 tablespoons of meat. No flavor at all. When I called the establishment, they said the best that they could do was have me bring the containers back and they would remake them or bring the containers back to prove what was in here to receive a refund. After $25 spent and gas wasted on my first trip I refused to drive these containers back up there. I had offered to send a picture and they declined. I have been very faithful to this establishment. Them handling this situation like this...
Read moreIf you are in the Frankfort area and haven't tried Alfonso's yet, make it your next stop for Mexican food. Located in an out of the way spot, this clean and inviting little gem is a welcome addition to the Frankfort restaurant scene. Having enjoyed their Versailles location for some time, we were saddened by their recent closing. It took us some time to find our way to the capital city location, but it is now a favorite place to eat whenever we're in the area.
Alfonso's has a broad menu that hits a lot of the common Mexican restaurant highlights. We've tasted around the menu and found it to be solid. The breakfast burritos are not to be missed - and are a huge value for the price. Often these can be easily shared to feed two good-sized appetites. Do yourself a favor and venture out past the well-known realm of chicken and carne asada and give the machaca burrito a chance. You won't go back, I promise. The chile verde is also not to be missed.
One last note - the food here is all made to order. This isn't fast food. Your order will take time, because they are cooking it right then - and it is well worth...
