Unfortunately, I have to give this two stars overall. First the positive stuff. The place was really nice basically picnic benches inside and out which seemed very comfortable. The place is very clean. They also allow dogs, which is great. I love the fact that they spent so much money with local farmers to get their produce so going into the place. It seemed like it was going to be good. Maybe on other people standards it is good. They have sourdough crust. I thought that was a great idea Until I started eating it and I really didn’t taste any sourdough at all, which was disappointing.
But let’s go back to the beginning after we ordered. These are brick oven pizzas and they weren’t too busy when we got there. Though it did seem that they had some to go orders. But these pizzas usually take five minutes at the most. We waited over 50 minutes and that was after I went and asked how much longer with the pizza take? I asked the one girl and she was very nice but she said she was gonna check on it and ended up getting distracted. Then one of the Pizza bakers came over and asked if she could help me and I just said I want to know how much longer our pizza is going to be. She didn’t come back and tell me, but after about a minute, the other girl went back there to put a ticket in. She came back and said that it’s in the oven. They weren’t that busy for that Pizza to take that long. When it’s been that long, you need to take care of your customers or you won’t have any customers. What they should’ve done as realize it took long and Somehow our ticket must’ve gotten misplaced. They should offered us a free drink or something to make us happy as it shouldn’t take almost an hour to get a five minute pizza out, especially when they weren’t that busy.
It probably would’ve been fine if they did not offer anything if the pizza was actually good. As I said before, it didn’t really have a sourdough taste at all to it. There was one pepperoni on most slices. Could barely find any sausage or mushrooms and we substituted the arugula for the olives. If I’m spending $21 on the pizza, I would like it to taste good. It really didn’t have much flavor. I would think that the ingredients cost no more than a total of three dollars for everything. So we did leave their disappointed and will not go back there. That’s too bad as there is a place that they have in Louisville as well.
I put myself through college working in restaurants and you should put your marketing dollars into your food so you can WOW people. I don’t see getting better so that’s why I won’t go back. It was definitely not supreme. Don’t skimp on your ingredients. I’d rather give five star reviews.
Hopefully, they will read this in a positive way to improve. It’s not easy getting customers and when you have the customers you want to take care of them. I think this place has a lot of potential to be incredible. However, I don’t plan on going back. I...
Read more10/10-no notes. This place was perfection. We had the Locals Supreme and the Veggie Lovers and the pretzels to start with. The crust is made from scratch sourdough as are the pretzels and are so soft and so delicious. The meat and the veggies on the pizza were so crisp and fresh it was amazing! And the cheese dip with the pretzels - let’s just say I will be dreaming of that cheese dip for years to come. It was amazing. Amazing doesn’t even touch it really - this place was incredible. And even though we were stuffed - the plates of wings that kept going out were too much to resist - so we got a plate of wings as well - we tried both the hot and mild sauces and - well, they did not disappoint. The rub was amazing the wings were so juicy. Honestly - if this is not the best food I have ever had - it is certainly in the top three. I cannot find the words to tell you how amazing the food is. If you are local, you are so lucky to get to have this anytime you want. If you are visiting, please make it a point to go! The vibes are great, family friendly with a play ground for the kids to get that excess energy off. Pet friendly as well. And the service? Gah! Don’t get me started!!! First - everyone in KY has to be the nicest people ever … but the service was so amazing! I don’t leave a lot of reviews … but this place is such a gem! I hope it lasts because I will be back in five years and will be dreaming of the cheese dip and wings and pizza until...
Read moreI was in Frankfort for the day with some friends and we were hungry so stopped here after reading good reviews. The pizza menu sounds great and the photos even looked good. Well there is where the “good” ends. The pizzas are the size of a medium that you would get from a Pizza Hut or someplace similar, but they’re in the $16-18 average range. If the pizzas were good we were happy to pay it. We got the pizza and the crust was so thin and soggy on all of the pizzas that we got (they weren’t busy so it’s not like they rushed the cook time) that it wasn’t possible to eat them unless we rolled them several times into a “burrito”. The ingredients tasted good and in theory this place could be great but the execution was terrible. My friend commented that this was the worst pizza he’d ever had in his life, and if HE was the one writing the review you’d see one star instead of two, but the employees were friendly and the creativity of the menu was good with solid ingredients. I feel like this place has POTENTIAL to be good, but as it stands I cannot recommend it to anyone nor would I ever want to...
