McDonald's — Restaurant in Frankfort

Nearly all of the employees here go above and beyond. I love the cashier who tells a joke of the day. There's a manager here who's got a full sleeve of tattoos who treats employees with respect and is always helping coworkers. It's rare that my order is wrong and everyone is always really nice.

Now, there's one shift manager I cannot stand. She's extremely rude to customers and employees. She's a petite woman with her hair always up in a ponytail. I've seen her yelling at new hires. One time I was in the restaurant during a manager shift change. Under the management of the first manager, everything was running smoothly. When she came on shift everything devolved and she was barking orders at everyone. She threw my bag up on the pickup counter, cleared my order from the system, and walked off before I could ask about my drinks. It took a few minutes for her to come back over and she rudely asked what I needed. I told her I was waiting on a milkshake. She blamed the mistake on another employee even though she was the only person working the front. Now, I haven't seen her in at least a month so I'm hoping she's no longer working there.

Another big complaint I have is the music being played. Who's idea was it to play Christian pop/country music nonstop?? I could understand on a Sunday but this music plays all of the time. It's really annoying, outdated, and the volume is loud. I understand there's families in here all the time so I'm not asking for charting music or anything like that. Instrumental music would be fine or even southern Gospel. It being Christian music isn't the problem. The music just sucks.

Another miniscule complaint I have is just about the filets. Please center them better on the buns. This isn't a deal breaker for me personally though. My sandwiches just look a little sad some times when they're thrown together like that.

This location has the best sweet tea. I'm from the south so I'm really picky about the taste. This location switches it out more often than other places. In the mornings it's gross though. The morning shift definitely isn't changing it out.

Edit: The manager I talked about in this review is still working there. And I am beyond angry at the way she treats everyone. I went in today (Sep 17, 2023) at around noon. I understand it was busy and I was more than happy to wait. But that same manager with the ponytail was screaming at employees in the back. She was telling them to "get their sh*t together" because she handed out the wrong order and didn't check the bag herself. There were little kids in the restaurant who overheard what was happening. At the end of her screaming she told everyone, "This is why I don't work on Sundays. None of you know what you're doing." That kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially from a 40+ year old manager towards 16 year old kids and in front of customers. I will absolutely be contacting higher ups about...

Well, the Wolf Rd/187th Bridge in Mokena is closed again, so that means I can either go way out of my way to go the the best McDonald's in the area (179th and Wolf) or go to the Frankfort location. I have learned that it is better to just go out of my way to the Orland one. Every time I visit the Frankfort location something goes wrong. I came 3/31/23 around 11-11:15pm about an hour before they closed, ordered the simplest thing in the world, two cheeseburgers, two mcchickens, two drinks and a large fry. Once again the food was cold, even bringing it straight home less than 10min away sitting right in front of the floor heat, but that's nothing new. The lady who took our order was just flat out rude, and when I asked if they had frappés still her no sounded so annoyed like I had just ordered the entire menu before I asked or something. When I get up to the window to pay its the same lady, I have my phone out to give her my code and she puts the card machine out and I just say I have a code first (which normally they ask when ordering) and so she literally throws the credit card reader back on the counter and says "what is it?" with an attitude, gave her the code then said I am doing Apple Pay, so now she's annoyed having to stick the card reader back out the window. The younger girl at the second window was super nice, but there food is just awful here and some of the employees here (most of the time its the older women), which is what it was again tonight are just awful and rude as well. Our mcchickens looked like they were made by a 4 year old, both had brown soggy lettuce, where normally I get nice fresh green lettuce and there's more of it and the mayo than the sandwich. This is definitely a last resort McDonald's...

To begin with, I have nothing but positive things to say about management and the staff that work there every day. I've been a regular at this establishment for two decades, I've visited McDonald's across the Continental US and Europe. So to say I'm a fan of McDonald's is an understatement, and I don't want any words here to negatively impact anyone, I think this McDonald's is among the best I've ever been to. That said, I've NEVER been more disappointed in my meal than today

Sausage Burritos from McDonald's aren't known for their quality or taste, granted, but there's at least an understanding that you'll at least be able to get the food in your mouth.

1 of my 3 burritos was so hard that I genuinely feared eating it would break one of my teeth, so I had to throw it away. Both of the other 2 I ordered could NOT be removed from the packaging intact, spilling liquid cheese, sausage, and peppers all over my table.

I've tolerated a lot from McDonald's locations, and I expect at least 1 of the burritos to be a little disappointing or flavorless, but I could at least eat one or two of the other ones and be mostly satisfied. Unfortunately today has proven that I can no longer order these there anymore.

I could have driven back the 15 minutes to go and try to get new ones, but for 1 their machine never printed out my receipt, and 2 I didn't have any time before or after my meetings for the day to get breakfast for my partner.

The good news is they enjoyed their McChicken Biscuit and Bacon Egg and Cheese biscuit, it's just a damn shame I've wasted money on nothing. Wouldn't have even ordered anything if I had known it would have been that disgusting.
