Poppy's Bakery — Restaurant in Frankfort

Love the doughnuts. Also have enjoyed every other pastry I have had from Poppy’s. Hate that literally NOTHING is priced. NOTHING. No menu board. No signs on the trays of pastries indicating what you will be paying. No signs saying how much a dozen glazed or a dozen mixed or even the most basic information is posted. You just have to blindly order and hold your breathe as your order is rung up. I think this way of operating is unkind and inconsiderate to the customers that keep a place in business. What if Kroger or Walmart tried these kinds of shenanigans? Well, actually Walmart DOES do this by not making sure all of their items are in the correct spot on the shelf. It’s work, but at least there I can use the app and scan products to know exactly what I will be paying. Hopefully Poppy’s will change this practice of keeping customers in the dark until it’s time to pay. Until then I guess I’ll just keep asking, “How much is this? How much is that?”. Everything from the smell was Absolutely Amazing as soon you walk thru the doors. I do not remember the ladies name that waited on us but she was so very kind and helpful .. Need to take a break from the world and enjoy a pastry of your choice this is place you want to go there is so much comfy seating room .. the prices are not bad at all ..if anything is left from the day beforw u get a great deal on it i got a huge apple fritter and two huge cinnamon rolls for only 4.50 only a day old and they tasted absolutely amazing .. the fresh apple fritter and the long johns with custard was delish .. if you have not checked this place out you need to. Poppy's bakery is the best I've had in Kentucky and top 5 all-time. I live in Louisville, but it's always worth the trip. I strategically plan visits to Frankfort and Lexington to ensure that I can stop in for some of the goods. Everyone that works there is very kind. I called on my way to Lexington last weekend to make sure they were still open (it was 30 minutes until closing), and they kindly set some donuts aside for me (I did not request that).
