Combative Owner, Rude Staff and Mediocre Food!
Recently I tried Farm & Flour for the first time, terrible experience; I would not recommend it at all! Instead of the owner spending time being combative and argumentative with every customer that leaves a negative review (should have been the first glaring warning sign NOT to eat there), they would be better served focusing on improving their food quality, implementing a proper check-in/waiting system, and educating their staff on appropriate treatment and respect for customers.
Food was subpar, bland and lacking. Juice is not fresh squeezed, despite being advertised as such.
While the establishment appears somewhat clean inside, the outside is covered with lantern flies, and the staff makes no effort to remove the remnants of dead flies littered all around the entrance and exterior seating. I am not blaming them for having a lantern fly issue, as it’s an issue in this area, but make a choice not to offer unscreened outdoor seating on picnic tables surrounded by dead bugs and make an effort to remove said dead bugs from other seating and entrance areas. Just speaks to the lack of care put forth by the staff and owners.
Staff snickers and speaks poorly about customers amongst themselves, but in the presence of other customers and loud enough for people to hear them. Unacceptable. Check-In/waiting process is chaotic and disorganized.
There are plenty of breakfast/lunch spots locally, do yourself a favor...don’t waste your time or money...
Read moreWe were surprised and very excited that we found a local restaurant that said they were open on Christmas morning . We spoke to Domenic who took our reservation for our family of 3 after he checked to see if they would be able to fit us in after he said they would be open Christmas morning. He took my name. We were disappointed and annoyed that not only were they closed when we arrived at 10 am for our reservation but mostly they never reached out to us to explain that they decided to close. I get it . It's Christmas and I'm glad for them that they and their staff did not have to work on Christmas. I would suggest when you take a reservation and have to cancel that you call the customer back and let them know so that they are not standing outside your closed restaurant with no other options.
An addendum to my review. Domenic called me back and apologized for the mix up. Apparently he thought I was making a reservation for Christmas Eve, not Christmas morning and asked if we would like a reservation for New Years day for breakfast which I gladly took. Looking forward to a great breakfast. Thank you Domenic for...
Read moreWe came in for a Sunday lunch around 1pm. The place was really popular with locals, parking lot was full. There was about 25 minutes wait time. Finally when we walked in, I was very impressed with the place. Everything looked new and slick. Though the place was little small and congested. Not suitable for big groups (5 or more).
The menu had excellent variety of brunch items like salads, omelets, toasts, pancakes, burritos, sandwiches, wraps and smash burgers. The restaurant procured all its ingredients directly from local farms. The eggs had such distinguishing yellow yolks. I got the classic burger, that had double smashed paddies, well cooked. The burger had really good taste. Loved it. Fries were decent. I tried their pancake too. Those were soft and fluffy, excellent quality.
The service was fine. Our waitress was friendly, did her job well. The food came out quickly. They cleaned the empty plates regularly. Overall the whole experience was great. We stayed few minutes beyond the closing time of 3pm. The staff were very courteous, didn’t rush or even told us...
