PSA TO ALL MUSLIMS WHO GO HERE: We decided to go here as a family for lunch ( keep in mind we do wear hijab so you can see we are muslim) but were very disappointed in the staff and how we were treated. As soon as we walked in the waiters turned around and looked at us like we were somewhere we shouldnt be, they didnt only look at us and look away but kept STARING like animals, second thing was that the place reeked of urine, I dont know if their bathroom was having issues or if it was the dirty environment of their kitchen but it was very unappetizing and we should have walked out right then but decided to see what they offer. We passed by 2 or 3 stores when what seemed to be the managers were sitting at a table loudly called out to us "YOU CANT GO THERE THE FLOOR IS WET" very rudely, assuming all the people in my family did not see the big fat yellow caution wet floor sign right in front of us. I was so embarrassed for them we just looked at them and said yes we see the sign. After that the staring continued followed by some giggles and pointing while our backs were turned to the table. I honestly cant believe grown people still behave like children, seems their upbringing was not good at all. I feel bad for them. Place/ staff are blatantly racist, and I genuinely would not be surprised if they are LYING about serving HALAL food. Please be cautious and keep an eye out for racist behavior if you choose to still eat here. (Theres a lot of better places just...
Read moreFirstly let me tell you that I visited on a Sunday evening around 8:15. There were absolutely no customers.
Now lets talk about Sankalp Mumbai street. I ordered Ragada pattice which was great. But the person who served was very rude even though there were no customers . whatever was displayed there,it wasn't available hardly 4 items and it looked like the guy was not even interested in serving three customers who were interested to buy.
Next Punjabi food: the older guy is very rude. He kept saying we are closing kitchen . Again i dont understand we were the only customers there and they were not interested to serve and kept saying are you done placing orders we are closing. But food wise it was good. both pani poori and dahi poori.
thirdly chin chin indo chinese. Guy who took orders and served was not rude. but the food dint taste well. there was a weird oil smell in the noodles, Gobi Manchurian looked very oily and tasted burnt.
I don't understand the need to be rude to the customers. Serve the customers and treat them politely .It wasnt even the closing time!!!!!! overall had a bad experience. we wanted to have a good time having dinner outside but we felt the need to get out of that place as soon as possible so we just took some take out after having ragada and pani poori. I will never go...
Read moreAbsolutely worst place to go for Indian food. Drive to Edison instead. They run a tiffin business from there which conflicts with their normal operations. If tiffin is the desired business, then don’t sit customers down. JUST SAY NO. Just say “WE’RE CLOSED” Firstly, the guy coordinating the tiffin box packing, told us you can get food but it’ll take time. We asked for bhel - which came with no chutney. So only mamra. We also asked for Pau Bhaji - to which the lady running the store told us no (because turning on the stove would smoke up the entire place). As an alternative we asked for chinese. After saying no to us, the guy who was packing tiffin boxed, came to this woman and told her to make pau bhaji. She said the same reason, to which he answers “arre mai bol raha hu na. Banao”. They smoke the place up and now our clothes smell of smoke. All while the chinese lady is still chopping raw materials for what we requested. They were not prepared at all. Pathetic failure of a place. If you are 1) not prepared, 2) focused on running a tiffin business - YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE ACCEPTED DINE-IN CUSTOMERS.
P.S. These “tiffins” were getting loaded in back of an Elantra. Trying to shimmy it and all. These people are so desperate trying to run a business they forget the...
