Great neighborhood Italian joint. Their food has been good and consistent over years. We have been going here almost 10 years now. All Pasta’s are very good. Pizza they sell by slices also for a quick bite. The main entrees come with a salad and warm garlic bread which is really delicious. If you add additional anything to your dish make sure to ask the server what it would cost. We ordered a pasta with asparagus from there specials menu and I requested to add few shrimps and it was $34.50 more then the original price of $23 which was not right I felt for 4-5 shrimps charging over $10 at a local pizzeria. The pasta dish with shrimp was only $26 then why this much extra. Well it depends on the server you get and what she wants to charge you! We got three salads with the entrees - Two of the salads we got were only plain lettuce - no tomatoes no onions no olives nothing only plain lettuce with some carrot shavings. One salad was beautifully made with tomato, onions, olives, carrots everything nicely. So that also I believe depends on the server who is taking care of you. Otherwise there pastas and food has remained great since all the years.

To say this pizza was disappointing would be an understatement. If this was my first time ever eating pizza I would say I hate pizza. The pizza had no color on it and was beyond floppy. The lack of salt in the dough was offensive I question how any pizza can be worse than a frozen pizza, but somehow this is worse. Go back to the drawing board, invest in a new sauce recipe, new dough recipe and find a new cheese supplier. We are in Jersey, the pizza should represent how good pizza can be not the abomination that this pie was. FYI this was a half cheese half pepperoni pie, the positive note is the pepperoni had great flavor but just the pepperoni not the pizza.

Recently ordered take-out from this Italian restaurant and I was very pleased with the food. The location is nice inside and the staff was pleasant. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with balsamic vinegar dressing and a meatball calzone. The grilled chicken was really good in the salad. The Balsamic vinegar dressing was OK. The calzone was really good too. It had a perfect blend of mozzarella cheese with ricotta. The meatballs were in slices and were OK too. Overall I’m happy we ordered from here and will be back.

I recently had a large party (25 people) go to Frank's for my rehearsal dinner for my wedding. We paid for several pizzas in advance, but did not include tip at that time because a family member had previously agreed to do the tip for us and was going to do it after we were finished eating. Keep in mind the receipt given to us after prepaying didn't even have a tip line so we couldn't have included it in advance anyway. So as my guests were eating, one employee who worked there kept reminding people she had not been tipped yet. One time, okay, fine, it's definitely not polite but I'm not gonna make a thing about it because I understand it was a large order. But she complained directly to AT LEAST FIVE DIFFERENT GUESTS about the fact that we hadn't tipped her yet, which is so highly inappropriate that I can't even fathom what made her think that was okay to do. She harassed out of town friends, my elderly grandmother, at one point just said it loudly to half of the room. These people were not a part of the planning and were not responsible for tipping her, and instead of focusing on what I was there to do, I kept getting approached by confused and uncomfortable guests telling me what she had said to them, over and over and over again. I was livid. Yes, of course we were going to tip you, just be patient and stop interrupting my rehearsal dinner to harass my guests for money (an activity that does not inspire the generosity in me).

And while I'm on the subject of this place's service, we called in with plenty of advance notice several times to confirm that they knew we had a big party, and then when we went in a couple days before to preorder our pies, they didn't even have it on their calendar somehow and didn't know what we were talking about.

So basically, the pizza is fine, but if you think you should have an event there because they are big enough to cater to it, I would not suggest it. Not unless you enjoy your guests being harassed for tip...

I ordered takeout from here on a whim one night and it didn’t disappoint! I moved here about 2 years ago from middlesex county where the food is phenomenal in majority of places and there is an endless variety of choices. Moving here has been an adjustment, in terms of variety and quality of food. The food here is mediocre at best and it’s really hard to find places that meet my expectations. Frank’s is one of the few places that I truly enjoyed everything I ordered! GRILLED chicken Alfredo with broccoli was a solid 9/10 for me. The chicken is VERY well seasoned (seems to be uncommon around here) and the sauce is not heavily butter based. I do wish the Alfredo sauce had a little more flavor/salt. Plain cheese pizza 7.5/10, 8 with some seasonings. Buffalo wings 10/10, delicious, flavorful, & crispy — the Buffalo sauce comes on the side to help keep them crispy I’m assuming? I didn’t mind it. Overall, 4.5/5 but didn’t want to knock them a whole star. Will definitely be ordering...
