IHOP — Restaurant in Franklin Township

I recently visited IHOP Franklin Park and had a pleasant experience overall. The food was comforting and satisfying, exactly what I was looking for. From fluffy pancakes to hearty omelets, the menu had a variety of options that catered to my breakfast cravings. The quality of the food was great, and it definitely hit the spot.

The service at IHOP Franklin Park was amazing. The waiter was friendly, attentive, and understanding. They took the time to listen to my order and ensure that everything was prepared according to my preferences. The staff seemed genuinely committed to providing a positive dining experience.

However, one aspect that could use improvement was the cleanliness of the tables and utensils. The tables appeared to be a bit messy, and the utensils could have been cleaner. It would have been more appealing if they were replaced or thoroughly cleaned before being set for the next customer. Despite this minor issue, the waiter promptly addressed my concerns and made sure I felt comfortable.

Unfortunately this was my last time at any IHOP for a long long time to come ….probably never again I mean In competition with PJs pancake house which is Opening more locations and gaining in popularity the very least this location should do is hire staff with the right attitude and personality, to retain its clientele. As skeptical as we were, we decided to give this location a try again as we have dined here before A very lack lustre ambience which wasn’t the worst part… Our server was this young kid who should probably pursue anything but this as he simply …. Let me be very blunt and polite ….. lacks what it takes to be waiting on customers in such a renowned restaurant …. No personality, smile, courtesy….. Not Only was he slow, but kept forgetting to bring us parts of our order, and when reminded that he forgot, had not even a fake expression of being apologetic …. I mean he was waiting a total of four tables including ours for crying out loud …. How do you forget ?? And if you genuinely did forget, have the courtesy to apologize !!!! Service is everything and when you don't receive at the least GOOD service it's a problem. My server Kay took order and I asked her for A1 steak sauce. She then took customer order, went to speak with colleague then proceeded to take gentleman's order behind me......forgetting about my request. Yes, I interrupted her to PLEASE get my request as my food was sitting getting cold. She got A1 packets, I said THANK YOU not once but TWICE, she took customers order then walked by me and proceeded to tell me I was rude and that her MANAGER is going through something (I told her that can't be my problem) and she is the only one on shift, which is a LIE because there is another person here going table to table asking if everything is ok, Kay then put my check on the table, folded in half, saying nothing and walking away, giving me her back! Hell, I had not even started eating and she cashed me out, quietly refusing to further wait on me!!!!! I worked in the restaurant business (and own a catering business) and currently a HR professional and the level of rudeness. She only needed to OWN her mistake.
