Horrible, horrible customer service. This place does not deserve any stars, unfortunately with the way google review works, I have to give them something. My fiancé and I went there on (11-28-2021) to do some last minute wedding shopping. For sure we will never return back here and would not recommend anybody making a big purchase here also!!! We walked out being disrespected and with tears in our eyes as to how all those aunties treated us. They started with "Beta this , Beta that", then ended with "cusses and gaalee". Then, there was this girl named "Rhea/Riya/Ria" who was working at the register and treated us like a creature that is not a human being, because she claimed she was/is the "STORE OWNER" with SUPERPOWER.
So, the problem started when we addressed that, one of the aunties that was helping us, offered us a courtesy discount since we are returning clients. But "Rhea/Riya/Ria" got involved with her nasty, loud tone, and screams from the top of her lungs to tell us that her store never offers any discounts because they are the BEST of the BEST. Forget about LOUIS VUITTON OR SABYASACHI.
Due to the store owner "Rhea/Riya/Ria's '' lack of customer service skills and not knowing how to treat their customers with dignity, respect, moral and kindness. We decided to return what we purchased right on the spot because we CANNOT give these items as a gift to our families. We were treated in such a way that no human should ever have to ever experience this type of barbaric behavior. What is funny about this whole situation is that the so-called self claimed Store Owner "Rhea/Riya/Ria '', had to call the "ACTUAL OWNER" of the store to ask for permission as to if it's okay for a customer to return something they purchased 60seconds ago.
There are so many Indian stores around Manyavar & Mohey -Located " 12, Marconi Avenue, 1505 Finnegans Ln, North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902" where they offer Exceptional Customer Service, which means that you go above and beyond what the customer expects, you take that extra step to make them feel that you understand what they are going through and you want this to be the best experience they have ever had.
CHEERS ESPECIALLY TO THE SELF CLAIMED STORE OWNER "Rhea/Riya/Ria" . HUMBLE YOURSELF GIRL, LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO HURT PEOPLE OVER 10 DOLLARS, IT AINT WORTH IT GIRL, IT AINT WORTH IT PLUS IT AINT INDIA EITHER GIRL!!! đ»
([[[This response is for the management, who was kind enough to reply back to my review. Thank You but respectfully I have to disagree with everything you wrote in response to my review. Please, go back and revisit the "Video and the Recording" of the STORE OWNER "Rhea/Riya/Ria" along with 2 other aunties screaming at us like we are 2 years old children. Your staff, especially the SELF CLAIMED STORE OWNER "Rhea/Riya/Ria" deliberately tried to make us feel foolish & confused, in front of other workers & customers. I felt she was trying to make us feel small because that's the only way she knew how to make herself feel better.
But nevertheless, that does not give anyone the right to "SCREAM AT CUSTOMERS" THIS WAS NOT SOME INDIAN FISH MARKET!!
The scenario created in the store on Sunday November 28, 2021 in the evening, was beyond something anyone can explain. It was extremely hurtful to the point, where we had to return what we purchased within 60 seconds ( and no.. we DID NOT RECEIVE ANY DISCOUNT BUT PAID FULL AMOUNT)
This review is not for discounts but for moral respect towards human, and the false claims that "Rhea/Riya/Ria" is the GOD of...
Read moreBottom line: I received terrible customer service from the employees here when trying to process an exchange. I would not recommend spending your money here, go somewhere else. See below for why.
The online store of this company was recommended to me by a friend so I could get a kurta set for his wedding. I ordered the size the website recommended based on body measurements (I did take the time to measure and landed right in the middle of one sizes range for most measurements and smaller in the others). But when I received the size I ordered, I couldnât get it over my head and shoulders. I emailed the customer service from the website, and the customer service told me the only way I could exchange for a larger size would be to go to one of the brick and mortar locations in the United States. Thatâs where the North Brunswick location comes in.
Now I live in Massachusetts but Iâm from Jersey originally, so when I visit my parents, this store is within a 45 minute drive. I chose this store for an exchange and informed the customer service via email as such. Initially I did not get an email back confirming anything from the online store customer service, but I figured it was worth trying to exchange when I was visiting home, so I went to this store. However, when arriving at the store, they informed me they do not do exchanges from online unless they have confirmation from the online retailer. So while annoying, I said âokâ and emailed the customer service online back asking them to confirm. They emailed me back about a week later saying that they emailed the store about the exchange, so about a month later when I was home again, I visited the store. But again, they told me they had not been informed of the exchange and would not take it. I showed them the email I received from the online retailer saying they sent the email, but the store said they never got the email.
At this point I was very frustrated but still determined to get the exchange, so I emailed the online retailer again and asked to be ccâd into the email to the store. I received a screenshot of an email to the retail store with several customer service emails in receipt of that email, which was good enough for me. I also informed the online retailer of when I was to go back and try to exchange, which was 2 weeks in the future. I reminded them a week out that I was going to come to the store tonight, and the online retail customer service confirmed they let the store know I was going to come requesting an exchange tonight.
Unfortunately, the store still said I did not have the email approval I needed to exchange the kurta set. Unhappy, I called the manager and put the phone on speaker, and even the regional manager told me that I did not have the correct email approval. The approval I needed was from one specific email listed in the screenshot I received from the online retailer of the email they sent to the store. At no point did they ever tell me I needed the approval from THAT email until tonight.
Ultimately, they are running me around because they want me to purchase something else that fits while Iâm in the store. They donât want to process an exchange, and they say they donât do exchanges for things bought in the store either. So I wouldnât bother going to this store because the employees have not tried to provide any assistance. Youâre better off somewhere else.
I can honestly say this is the worst service I have received at any...
Read moreItâs sad I had write this bad review. I try not to hurt any business, but this particular store has been one of our fav stores but here is our experience. The worst part js they knew us by our first name and yet they the manager did this to us. We bought a saree at 3pm and came back at 6pm to exchange it, thatâs what the lady said who sold it to us, but she flat out denied to return the balance money, so instead of having to take a lose we took the one we picked earlier, their policies are so bad that they tell you one thing and they denie everything after, We been a long standing customer, but we will never go back to them again,âitâs not about the money, itâs principles of value and not lying to customers. The north Brunswick branch is so distrustful we will never shop again here. Please get everything in writing if you have to exchange anything, They will make a big deal about everything. They could have solved our issue very easily by closing out bill and creating a new one which was bought just 3 hours ago but they flat out denied it. She even gave her word while purchasing that if my wife dosent like the saree we can bring it back, I even showed her own policy thatâs listed on the counter and not a word was mentioned about what ther were talking about. Anyways we will never shop here again. They donât have principles and value to customers. Thank you for the feed back but I called no one answered, secondly the issue is, the manager never said that she can exchange to a higher value or equal, she simply said bring it back we can exchange to any saree you like. She knew me by name basis, and she should have honored her word, She didnât, when asked where was it written that we canât exchange to a lower value saree, she had no response. Sometimes money is the importance here, Itâs the product we like that matters, Knowing fully well that manager knew that we buy practically every event at that place and now she lost us for good. For Diwali we spent like $5K at a different stores for all our clothing needs and accessories. When the store manager is not honest and gives a run around for a saree we bought literally 2 hours ago with cash and she she told us to bring it back for an exchange and made a big stint out of her own words is not the place to shop. We been in the community for more than 40 years and we are members of ton of groups. Itâs sad we recommended your place for many events. Now we will never do so. Itâs not about the money, itâs about the principles of doing good business and knowing that you are valued in a place, if we donât feel that way, no matter What you offer it will never be the same. Sad Part of this matter is, she never ever apologized nor admitted that it was her words That we trusted and took the product, if I didnât have that faith in her, I could have easily came back couple of hours later and got something to the preference of my wife. We paid cash aswell and it was suppose To be an easy transaction. Sad we will never be there again. It...
