I recall coming to this particular restaurant since early 2012 and more recently and frequently in mid-2016, and this restaurant is exceptionally well-maintained, clean, consisting of a wonderful ambiance, with many comfortable chairs and tables as well as prompt and professional servers who are responsive and attentive. This is a family owned business with excellent quality and taste of Vietnamese cuisine. Mind you, the owners are of Filipino heritage. They are situated in Franklin Park, alongside Rt 27 southbound, at the corner of a small strip mall with ample parking spots available. I used to be a regular here till I moved more north in Jersey. I would say, they are a hole in the wall type of restaurant. They may or may not still remember my name to my face. However, they know the taste of Vietnam! Very authentic. Highly flavorful and tasty. I would say, in the state of New Jersey, they are pretty accurate to the taste of Vietnam. Definitely, I recommend! Their pho broth is flawless each time. Pho, any type of pho, is a got to have it! Their spring rolls are super crispy on the outside and soft and warm with various ingredients in the inside, and their summer rolls are so delicious too with a side of fish sauce for dipping. Tom Yum soup is pretty spot on with authenticity of lots of lemongrass flavoring and lime juice for that real taste. Great portion sizes. Delectable taste. Decent prices. Ambiance is pretty casual with a bit of a sophisticated twist. Truly, a great way to go for Vietnamese cuisine of authenticity and originality in the Franklin Township area....
Read moreI tried 4 different dishes and their special Vietnamese frappe; needles to say, all left me very unimpressed.
Chicken and shrimp dumpling was probably the only item on the menu that has some substance.
Beef grilled vermicelli had 98% vermicelli with very few pieces of grilled meat; for the price they charge, it was not justifiable amount of meat.
Vietnamese fried rice with chicken was poor in taste; large substance but the chicken felt a bit raw and significantly lack of seasoning.
They have special banhmi over Friday and weekend; I am not sure why they sell it only 3 days by citing "special" as the taste of it, is far from special.
I strongly suggest the owner of this place to visit O'Pho House in Edison and taste their food. Perhaps that may help them to be more imaginative in the kitchen.
Overall; if you are hungry please do eat here. But if you are looking for some tasty authentic Vietnamese cuisine - I suggest you...
Read moreI've been coming to Pho99 (now Mia's) for a few years now. Their food is consistently great. I've never had a bowl of pho that I was disappointed with here. Service is always fast, I never have to wait long for my food to arrive and staff is friendly.
Their Vietnamese rolls are packed with flavor and super crispy. Their summer rolls are another favorite of mine that has wonderful texture and is fresh. The sauces that come with the rolls are such great compliments to the dish.
I usually get their sliced beef and brisket (P8) pho. It's so refreshing. It's one of those dishes you crave because it warms your heart and soul when you eat it. Such clean broth and rice noodles that are cooked to perfection. Their sauteed beef cubes and Vietnamese stir fry are also excellent choices.
I also recommend getting their mango mousse cake dessert. It's packed full of mango flavor and a great way to...
