Tee Jaye's Country Place — Restaurant in Franklin Township

Wlaked in, the place was semi busy. Stood to wait to be seated. Counter staff was busy ringing cash register. After 10 minutes of standing with no help, I decided to seat myself. Server comes over after 5 minutes and asks about drinks. I then ask for a menu for my friend while explaining we seated ourselves. She goes on to scold us for seating ourselves and walks off. Literally 10 minutes goes by so I decided to ask for the manager. About this time she walks up with our drinks which was just simple, coffee & water. I jokingly stated to her she must have forgot about us. She replies that she had to help all the others before me. My thought is, you came and took our drink order and then went to help someone else! Now Im thinking, am I being punished for seating myself. She takes our order and it takes 15 minutes to come out. When it did, it was not how I oredered it. Having been a loyal customer and spent thousands of dollars at multiple Tee Jays around Columbus my whole life, I knew how to order my food with specific instructions so I do get it how I want. I think she specifically brought it wrong on purpose. I was so embarrassed at having to keep repeating myself, being scolded for seating myself and this weird confrontation with this server that I just got up and walked out. I wasn't gonna feel like this a××hole for such amazingly bad service. As a person dealing in customer service myself, this servers attitude was appalling and would get me fired...

I hadn't been to Tee Jaye's in many years. Was at Hollywood Casino across the street and suggested that we go there. I assured everyone that it was very good food, super service, and the best choice over the pricey food at the casino. So, the food was just as quality as in the past and the prices were reasonable. We ended up having 3 waitresses, a long wait for food and a less then attentive staff. Had to request items of food we ordered when we were finally served. Had to request catsup because of none being on the table. The waitress(s), never brought any catsup after 2 or 3 requests so I approached a bus boy and he actually did find us the catsup in about 30 seconds. Our original waitress never did check back with us to see if everything was in order. We were never offered drink refills, not even coffee. I felt jilted, when we left, over the service; and lack thereof. I was tempted to walk away without tipping but, was reminded by a member of my party that's how waitresses make most of their income. I can't explain why there was issues with the service. It was a Sunday morning, and a very low volume crowd. Only about half capacity full. So IDK. Yes I will probably return in the future, but I'll reserve my recommendation on Tee Jaye's as being anything but a reasonably inexpensive greasy spoon...

Unfortunately I can not give this location a good review. Staff was friendly. We found a bed bug in the booth crawling on one of my guests. We were staying in hotel and had checkef hotel before checking in first night and we double checked after dinner. Nearly 100% sure it was in the booth. Staff did not seem surprised.

I tried their fried fish. Just ok. It was a littlr fishy tasting but eatable. Biscuits were super dry.

Prices are good. Were seated quickly even on valentine's day. Would not return to this location because of bed bug. Ruined our whole night and most of next day.

Owner was in the restuarnt that night and did not even come over to apologize for the pest issue.

Hate give poor reviews and I know you can find begld bugs almost anywhere but first time we had ever seen one in a restaurant anf first time to have on crawl on a guest in our party to come home. If they are a know problem ad they staff expressed to us they knew about, do more then spray every 2 weeks, take the cushions off the booths so staff can wipe them clean between guest and completely inspect...
