So I ordered from them with Uber Eats while I was working, only 4 minutes away from their store. I was on the clock at my workplace so had it delivered. I got nachos, but when I opened the food, there was no queso. Like most humans, I find there is almost no point to nachos without the cheese, so I called to ask if there's a way I can get queso without having to go there, because I was on the clock. Maybe the Uber Eats drivers are supposed to return for the missing item? I wasn't sure about their policy with Uber Eats and just politely asked what the options were. A guy answered the phone and THOUGHT he put me on hold, but I could actually hear everything he was saying, and I heard him explain the situation to his coworker, and he said, referring to me: "leave her on hold until she hangs up." I do hang up eventually, after listening to him take a few orders from other customers, and the girl who answers when I call back a second time IMMEDIATELY puts me on hold (for real this time) before I can even finish my sentence. Like she just cuts me off and puts me on hold without saying a word. I call back a third time and no one answers. I'm a shy, polite person and was not rude in the slightest. I was just wondering what the options were. I'd much rather an employee say "I'm sorry but there's nothing we can do" than for them to treat me like an inconvenience. Awful service. In case a manager is reading this, this took place on Saturday, May 11 at 11:27am in case you want to figure out who the employee was. I didn't catch any names. Maybe the manager is the one who did this? Either way.... If you go to this Blue Coast just be prepared to be treated like an inconvenience and for them to avoid helping you when possible. Thanks...
Read moreUPDATE - updating my original review of a one star up to four. At the insistence of my family we went back in not too long ago. Ceilings are cleaned now, queso now tastes great again and not watered down, and honestly they gave out more chips than we even needed. Will continue coming back as it's obvious this location takes feedback seriously. Very much appreciate that as most businesses do not. Kudos to this team. I can't quite get to five stars until we can get Coke products again
Original review Used to love Blue Coast. Not sure if it’s just this location or all of them. First they got rid of Coke products and moved to Pepsi. Personal preference but I don’t think I’m alone. Second when you used to order queso you got a huge bag of chips. Now you get two small brown bags that isn’t enough for my kids alone much less the whole family. Speaking of the queso. It used to be so good. Now it tastes like water. It’s so watered down and gross. I thought it was a one time thing but after multiple visits this is the new norm. It’s usually pretty dirty in the restaurant as well. Don’t look up or you might sneeze from the fans on full steam flinging dust around (pretty sure they’ve never been cleaned). It’s sad because this was always my favorite burrito place. The only real options now are chili burrito and Baja burrito which...
Read moreTook my best friend here for the first time yesterday. Though I had never been to this location, I had been to others and have always loved it! The Baja fish tacos are usually awesome and I talked my friend into ordering them as well. We waited for about 20 minutes, which at the time I did not mind because I am willing to wait for awesome food. When they brought them out however, both of our trays were cold. And not just the veggie part, even the fish pieces were cold. The shells of the tacos did not seem to have been heated at all either because they were stiff and crumbled as soon as you tried to pick of the taco. My friend and I didn’t even get through one taco. We dumped the trays and left. I rarely ever complain, but it’s extremely frustrating to pay money to eat out and then not even be able to eat the food that you are given. I have worked in the restaurant business before and I understand mistakes happen, but it just seems like common sense to not give someone a cold...
