Not a good experience. Food wasn’t very good except the omelet station. My wife did like the peel and eat shrimp. The croissants were hard, the gravy was horrible . We had a reservation at 10:00 and got there about 9:30. Our server asked what we would like to drink and we both ordered morning cocktails. He then said that alcohol can’t be served until 10:00, so we said we would like them when when the bar open. Meanwhile, we decided to just wait until we had drinks to have our meal. (Sunday is only brunch buffet). So we sat and talked. Our server walked by once and looked down at us and could see we weren’t eating yet. So closer to 10 a large family came in 3 or 4 adults and 4 children. Same server, came and took their order. We start to see other servers bring out Bloody Mary’s at 10:00 am. Well about 10:05 the family next to us that sat down about 15 minutes after us were complaining about not having our drinks. Two of these men go up and start standing up and one yells into the kitchen. Out come the server with all the drinks for their table . Another server/manager comes by and we ask if we could please get our drinks, she responds that our server was helping another table. I said, “We have been here for 45 minutes and were here long before the other table.” She the says, Oh, really?”. Then our server comes over and asks what me need, my wife says our drinks. He then said “You’re not eating because you waiting on drinks?” My wife said ,”Yes” Mind you, he walked by us one time and looked table and saw that we were not eating, which was our decision. Then he says (in a very sarcastic manner), “Don’t get mad at me, I’m not the bartender.” He should have never said that to us, he should have said ,”I am so sorry, I will get it now.” Instead he was a smart alec with and attitude. I loved the Granite City in Peoria, this was my first time here, and I doubt I will go back. Money spent for not good food and...
Read moreWe ordered cheddar and ale soup, bock cheese pasta, a wedge salad, and a steak dinner. We also had the chocolate cake and carrot cake. We ordered our food right at 5:00 pm. The delivery company had to revise our order and once they put in our order the delivery window was from 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes. A good time and what we expected. However, the issue is the food once we received it. From the time we received the delivery notice to the time, the food arrived at our home was 10 minutes. Unpacking the food, I noticed very little heat coming from the packages. Once opened, the food was cool to cold. The soup was the warmest item in our meal. The pasta and chicken in the dish was flat out cold. The inside of the wedge salad was rusted, and we had to remove it. Part of the chocolate cake had a cucumber flavor like the vegetable had accidentally been left near it. I reheated soup and pasta. I am disappointed in the way received our meal. The taste was still good, but just because I order food as a delivery doesn't mean it should be cold when I get it. We had our supper delivered. We ordered the millionaire bacon burger and waffle fries, the chocolate cake, boneless wings, and baby back ribs. We ordered aioli with the burger and fries. Not sure if it was put on the burger or was supposed to be separate. Either way, it wasnt present. The mayonnaise was not spread to the edge of the bun, and so thin I couldnt taste it. Food was tasty and arrived on time. The char on the ribs was...
Read moreMy wife and I are on a monthly "try a new restaurant" quest, and this month, we decided to try this restaurant. We made a reservation, and showed up a few minutes late, but were seated right away. The decor overall is nice, but needs repair. The booths are dingy, and the tables were kind of old looking. So needless to say, we were a bit apprehensive as to how this would translate to the food. Well we were pleasantly surprised. I wanted the Clam Chowder, but it was Thursday, and they only have it on Fridays. My wife got the French Onion Soup, and I ordered the Pretzel Sticks, and both were absolutely excellent. We then ordered our mains, and I inquired about the Chicken Pot Pie,, and was told it was good, so I ordered that and a side of Mashed Potatoes, and my wife ordered the Mahi Taco's.
My Chicken Pot Pie was perfect, and the mashed potatoes were awesome also. My wife loved the Mahi Taco's, but felt they were a bit spicier than she likes, but very much liked it. We took it home to our incenerator son who loves spicy foods. Nothing we had was bad. Total props to the chef here!! Our servers name was ADAN, and he was great also. Great attitude, very friendly, and he worked his tail off to make sure we were happy. I tipped him very well for his service. We will definitely be back here some day (as we are from Huntsville), but if you live in the Franklin area, I would HIGHLY recommend this location. The food was...
