Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Franklin

My experience working at this Sonic in my hometown was nothing short of a nightmare. It truly deserves less than one star, and I have several compelling reasons to back this claim.

First and foremost, the management was beyond horrible. Incompetent and dismissive, they showed no regard for the well-being of the staff or the quality of service provided to customers. Customer service was abysmal, leaving patrons frustrated and disappointed. The food itself was a sad excuse for sustenance – greasy, tasteless, and evidently sourced from frozen, low-quality ingredients.

The state of the inside and the kitchen was appalling, characterized by an unending film of grease and a repugnant stench. The cramped and disorganized workspace only added to the misery of the work environment. The management's attitude trickled down to the co-workers, fostering a toxic atmosphere of hostility and passive-aggressiveness. Each shift was an agonizing ordeal, filled with belittlement and disdain from fellow employees.

My work shifts were nothing short of torturous, the longest I worked was 6 hours, which is arguably not even a long shift. Nevertheless, it was the most excruciating and painful 6 hours of my life I have ever had. The time spent there felt like an eternity, trapped in a place devoid of any semblance of professional conduct or respect.

The majority of the employees were from Ravenwood, and it seemed like they had developed a superiority complex when dealing with their coworkers. One particular individual named E**n took the prize for being the most rude and condescending person I have ever encountered. Luckily, there were a couple of really nice assistant managers that were fun to be around, but they were overwhelmed by the rude and condescending coworkers. During rush hour, these coworkers, rather than try to work together to best maximize efficiency of order fulfillment, would instead push, shove, or even yell at each other out of frustration.

In conclusion, I urge everyone to avoid this Sonic at all costs, both as customers and potential employees. The combination of deplorable management, dreadful customer service, and subpar food quality makes this establishment a regrettable choice. Spare yourself the disappointment and frustration; there are far better dining options available elsewhere.

EDIT: they paid less than $8 an hour. For somebody who made drinks and restocked machines while packaging orders, and had to go through large amounts of stress each shift, it felt illegal to be given such a low wage. This singlehandedly made me hate the job scene and working in general for years after. Luckily times have changed :)

Was trying to get lunch with my boyfriend. Lady on the speaker caught a horrible attitude while he tried to order. I tried stepping in and correcting the mistakes on what we had ordered so far (I thought maybe she couldn’t understand his accent) only to be ignored and met with more attitude “Okay yeah but what was the drink”. We decided to just leave after this without finishing the order since it seemed to be such a big inconvenience to her. This was my first (and last) time I have been to this Sonic and what a disappointment it was. I’ve worked in food all my life and get that it’s frustrating sometimes, honestly I hate even writing this because I get the struggle.. but part of working in customer service is providing said service to customers. If it’s such a chore for you then you should find a new...
