Bojak's Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Franklin

I work at the college in town and some of the students were mentioning this place to me. I live in Indy, so I’m not familiar with the food scene around Franklin. To start, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The music playing was nice and my server really attentive as well. Monday’s are $5 burger night I found out and it was probably the best $5 burger I’ve had and it came with a mountain of tater tots (or you could’ve gotten fries)! The wings were good as well! I’d definitely suggest this place to anyone who wants some good bar food grub and a nice tunes.

The meat was cooked well and I love that it comes with the garden as well. As you can see, my bowl-plate was overflowing with tater tots!! I was excited about the old fashioned because they carried my favorite bourbon: Wild Turkey 101. I don’t find many bars with that! Not the best I’ve had, but it definitely got the job done!

We were there on 11/21/23 for the Musical BINGO, Family Feud, and tacos. It was busy, but we've been there on nights like that with no issues. This was the WORST service we've ever had! The taco order for 2 of us was wrong and sent back, but by the time they got the correct order, we had all eaten and reordered! The waitress constantly disappeared so we were not able to reorder drinks or get refills on sodas. We asked for the check TWICE from people other than our server and even saw one of them let the bartender know. We had to wait for almost an hour with no one bringing the check and some of our party had to leave. When I approached the bartender regarding our check, instead of apologizing regarding our experience, she stated she was calling the police over our friend's $7 bill in which the order was not correct in the first place! She did not even wait for me to say that I would take care of the $7 before running to the door and saying she was calling the police. Suboptimal review incoming. I came with two others on a Saturday night, place was not busy when we got there... but the security felt like I was checking in to visit a prisoner. They took my picture, scanned my ID, and gave me a wristband. Which would have been fine but... there was only 1 server for a pretty large bar. Sort of ridiculous to have 5-6 security staff but only 1 server forced to serve 8-10 tables throughout the bar. Which also would have been fine but... I had a tenderloin, my friend had a plain cheeseburger, and my girlfriend had chicken strips, and somehow we all ended up with stomach problems afterward. My friend ended up vomiting several times... Perhaps ownership should spend less attention/money on security and a bit more on service and cleanliness. Furthermore, we were not part of the line to get in since we got there fairly early, but there was a pretty long line to get into a pretty empty bar at around 9pm. Also, we bought a song to play using TouchTunes, but when our song finally came up on queue, they changed it over to their own music instead of the TouchTunes.
