I recently had the pleasure of dining at Iozzo's on Jefferson with a party of six adults and one child, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with exceptional service that set the tone for the entire evening. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our meal.
The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, upscale without feeling overly formal - perfect for enjoying an evening with family and friends.
Everyone in our party raved about their meals. The crab tortellini was a standout with ample filling, a bit of spice and flavorful Calabrian chili sauce. The shortrib ragu was rich and hearty, and the chicken Parmesan was cooked to perfection with a massive portion. All sauces are made from scratch and gluten free and can be mixed and matched between entrees. Most pastas are handmade in-house also, and you can definitely taste the freshness!
To top off our meal, we indulged in refreshing lemon sorbet and the tiramisu, which was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted (I typically find tiramisu to be soggy). It was the perfect blend of coffee and cream, with a light and airy texture and crisp crust. Don’t skip the house-made limoncello and strawberry limoncello, either!
Iozzo’s on Jefferson is truly a gem in Franklin, IN, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just want to enjoy a fantastic meal, this restaurant is a must-visit! We can't wait to return and...
Read moreDinner on 03-14-2025 at Iozzo on Jefferson in Franklin. Party of four. This place has the feel of an old school Italian family restaurant. The exposed brick walls were great. Black and white photographs on the walls were a nice touch. Lighting was perfect, good enough to easily read the menu, but not so much to detract from the ambiance of the restaurant. (Seating area prior to getting your table is very limited.) The bar is generous. A salad is included, and you can up-grade to one of their signature salads. Our group had a spinach, South Side, and two wedges. All reported that the salads were quite good. For dinner there were two Caprese Chickens and two Halibut. The portions were generous. The food came to the table hot, and the presentation was nice. The Halibut came with two polenta pancakes, that were delicious. The pasta in the Caprese chicken was excellent The food was quite good, I would say the Halibut was a bit under seasoned, but it was cooked perfectly. The bread was very good, but the tomato thing that they served with the bread had no flavor and was difficult to deal with. They would have been better just giving some olive oil to dip with. Prices were fair in today's market. The service was excellent. We will definitely go back, and you should definitely try Iozzo's on Jefferson. I suggest reservations as this place continues to be...
Read moreSo glad we finally have a place like this south of the city! The atmosphere is lively, lots of laughter and everyone having a good time. We made a reservation and were seated when we got there. The seating is close together, but similar in authentic Italian restaurants I've been in. Espresso martini was great as was the margarita. We ordered mushrooms and cream cakes for the table and they were great. We were super what soppy tomatoes were, but they come with the bread and you won't be disappointed. Since we hadn't been there, we asked for recommendations and she said not to get the lasagna for the first time or you'd never order anything else. We thought she was joking and two in our group of four are lasagna fans, so they both ordered it. They agreed that it's the best lasagna hands down and they will be coming back just for that. Another had the fish of the day with broccolini and said it was good. I had the crab tortellini and the sauce was fantastic. Our server was friendly and kept our glasses full and table clean. We weren't rushed and the food came at a good pace. Pricing is on the higher side, but it's what we would pay at a good place elsewhere. Parking is a little difficult, but no different than downtown or Perry Crossing. The atmosphere, the good service, and great food were totally worth the price tag. We'll...
