Jimmy D's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Franklin

Jimmy's staff was incredibly attentive. They did the best they could under current circumstances. I waited an hour for a steak that ended up over done. I didn't complain and had a 20% tip in on the bill for the team that waited on me. Jimmy's wife even came out to check on everything. We had a great conversation and I offered to buy her a shot. She declined because she was working. I have so much respect for her as a small business owner in these unprecedented times. I asked for the best shot of whiskey they have, knowing this was the highest mark up in the restaurant. I only wanted to boost my tab to reflect on the waitress's tip. Jimmy comes out of right field and starts telling me I have to leave! His wife was trying to tell him what was going on, but his insecurities wouldn't let that sit. I was 86'd.

I suppose Jimmy is going to charge me even though I was kicked out. I was attempting to tip 20%+, so I hope that is reflected in the waitress's pay. If not, please let me know and I'll leave a 20 under the door...

I hardly ever review negatively but this one? Shockingly disappointing. Walked in about an hour after opening, empty except for the bartender and I'm guessing a regular in intense conversation. We weren't greeted at all, after a few minutes I walked up to the bar and got the most foul glare from the bartender as if i was interupting. I asked for a menu and a common drink which i had to explain to the bartender how to make. After each "Thank you!" I was met with a blank stare instead of a your welcome, Menu had 4 items, and we weren't told about the specials, My father and i got burgers requested med well, they were absolutely charred beyond anything edible. Fries were okay. Not worth $50 for 2 burgers and 2 cordials in a shot glass. Between the rude bartender and the burnt to a crisp food, I won't be returning. Bar...

Went there first time based on a recommendation and WOW, what a great place. This is a small place with a bar and several tables and upon entering, we received an offer to join a table and then another customer told us to sit at table that was being used by people playing pool. While the menu is limited plus specials for the day, all we can say is great food and drinks, very nice people all around and the owner came over to ask if everything was OK and if there was anything else we needed. Prices are very reasonable. So great food, extremely friendly place and fun to be there. Will be going back and will take...
