I have visited this location three times and I really enjoyed it. It had a good small homey feel. Although it does not receive huge points for atmosphere it does receive high points for the food.
Bottom line up front: I recommend this location. Service is great. I recommend the spicy beef salad (Yam Neua), papaya salad, and drunken noodles (Kee Mao).
Details: I noticed some reviewers had issues with the service but I had no such issues. On my first visit I had 2 severs and they were very friendly, professional, and quick. I have come twice since then. Once you walk in the door you are greated before the door closes behide you. You then are seated, drink orders taken, and in you are ready your food order. Drinks, refills, and food are quick to come out.
My food came out quick and tasted great. I had tried the spicy beef salad (Yam Neua), Pad Thai chicken, drunken noodles (Kee Mao), and the papaya salad.
The spicy beef was among the best tasting I have had. The Pad Thai was better then average. Drunken noodles are very good. Papaya salad is very good!
I look forward to coming here again and I recommend...
Read moreWe ordered pad Thai and Singapore noodles, which were good. However, we ordered the “crab and shrimp” wontons, which were nothing but 4 tiny fried wonton pieces with maybe about 1/8 teaspoon of minced meat in each. Not wontons by any means.
I came back in to express my concern (as I paid $8 for them) and they hesitantly swapped them for spring rolls. I was completely nice and just explained that they didn’t match the description and would love a swap out. Any professional would say of course, no worries, right? (I mean come on, I know times are tough but their carry out was very busy and I’m sure their $8 wonton pieces cost about .50 cents to make; max.
Upon leaving, the hostess shook her finger in my face and said “be careful because this won’t happen again”, repeating herself multiple times as I walked out …..threatening a paying customer because YOUR description of something you’re serving is FAR from what it really is? Totally unprofessional.
Don’t worry, “this won’t happen again” because we’ll never be back. Glad there’s a new Thai spot right across the shopping center opening...
Read moreStopped into My Thai today with my wife on a whim, and I'm glad that we did! Our server, Debbie, was both friendly and efficient. The menu was extensive and varied (and while we were there, 2 other people came in and asked about items that were NOT on the menu, and the cook prepared them!). Soon after we ordered, Debbie brought out a tiny sample from the cook, just to make sure the "heat level" was just right, before they cooked all the food. The restaurant is small but very comfortable. Presentation of the food was beautiful, and the taste was even better. The owner, Nina, came out to make sure that we were happy, chatted a bit, and brought us another small dish that she thought we might enjoy trying-- a sliced, spiced pork dish that was also wonderful. I could go on in more detail, but suffice it to say that My Thai is a restaurant well worth visiting-- we'll certainly be going back, as we love Thai food and this was authentic...
