Zilla's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Frederick

Was very excited to have a new pizza place here in town seeing the posts on Facebook, so I went on a Saturday a couple weeks ago and got some pizzas and a sandwich, not a fan who puts yellow cheese on pizza. That's just not right. The crust i did not like either all around tasted like biscuits. Not really great in my opinion, but again, I grew up in New York City where we have real pizza,

For a a 10-in pizza it is overpriced in my opinion. Yes prices have gone up on food. I get that as well but 15 to $18 no thanks almost $50 for two pizzas and a sandwich that's just crazy.

For the Italian sandwich, the meats were good. They should dig out the bread cuz it's almost impossible to eat it when you just cut it and load it the way they do. Not really great. You get full just eating bread and I have to pull meat off because you can't fit it in your mouth. So opinion is dig out the center of the bread and then put the meat in.

I know there's people out there that like this place I'm not going to knock it. It is what it is but I won't be going back, I wish mountain cowboy was still the mountain cowboy cuz their breakfast stuff was the bomb and I think what's in there...

My husband and I have been making our way through the amazing pizza options since Zilla’s opened - each one has been better than the previous one, and next up on our list will be the pastrami + pickle- the pizza isn’t your “average”’pizza - and I mean that in the best way! We have also been alternating with the subs, and now can’t get enough of the homemade bread, excellent toppings and super quality meat. Great ownership and service every time. Looking forward to having an arcade / pizza night with our extended family and friends soon, can’t wait to introduce them to this new gem. We went to Zilla's today to celebrate a co-worker. We ordered Roni pizza and BBQ chicken pizza as well as a couple of the subs to try. Everything was truly excellent! The bread was great on the subs and they were packed with meat, cheese and flavor! The pizzas were delicious - not too thick and not too thin. Both the tomato sauce and the BBQ sauce on the pizzas were tasty and there was an ample amount of toppings. We are big fans of Georgia Boys BBQ and now we can add Zillas to our list of great...
