Since I was boycotting UberEats I thought we would order from a local place off another delivery site. We decided on breakfast from Battlefield. We were hoping for good food since they had a 4.5 star review here. Maybe I just caught them on an off day, maybe they got a new cook, maybe they were busy, maybe, maybe.....any way you look at it unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. After spending close to $50 for several meals what we received was definitely not the equivalent. On the website I ordered from there was not a place to leave a note, as 2 of my crew are highly allergic to onions, so I called to ask there not to be any in the food. They agreed but instead sent me the saddest looking plates ever. I'm not sure if they were offended or what. I ordered a corn beef hash omelet. I got a small portion of corn beef hash and 1 teeny tiny scrambled egg but no where near combined or made to look like an omelet, along with burnt home fries. Another order included the remainder of the burnt home fries as well as an over golden (extremely well done) dry pancake. Even the simple bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was on over toasted bread. I love to give reviews to let places know we appreciate the hard work and service, along with great food. I hate to tell people of poor service but this time I could not let it slide. I do not want to turn any other patrons away as my experience may be just a one off from the norm but I did feel the need to share. From this one experience I will not eat from this...
Read moreThis was the most embarrassing experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I had been looking forward to trying the breakfast here and ended up leaving before even having the opportunity to try it. Upon arrival we sat ourselves and grabbed a high chair for our toddler. The high chair was incredibly filthy and sticky, without complaining we proceeded to wipe it down with baby wipes and sanitizer. Apparently this must have offended the employees because afterwards we sat there while everyone else in the restaurant before and after us were served, ate and left...while we remained sitting there. I had to ask twice just for a water. When I got my cup the rim was covered in food crumbs. I wanted to give this place the benefit of doubt, so we continued to wait until the we were the only ones left in the restaurant without food. At this point I knew we were being discriminated against. I have never felt so unwanted, and I was on the verge of tears. So we quietly got up and saw the people in the kitchen mouthing that we were finally leaving. We never once complained or made a fuss of anything. It was truly disheartening that because we wanted to make sure our son had a clean seat, we were shunned out of the restaurant. I would never be able to recommend anyone here due to the service...
Read moreHeard about this place for a while and finally stopped in on a weekday morning… Service was great! The place is like an old style, neighborhood diner… I definitely loved the vibe. The menu is loaded with all the normal breakfast and lunch items you’d expect from an American-style (not Greek) diner. Prices are very reasonable too! But take cash for the tip, as they don’t add tips to their credit card receipts.
I tried their corned beef hash omelet and found it interesting to learn that they make 2 or 3 egg omelets, and the ask you which you want when you order… I’ve never seen this before, but I liked it… having a choice is nice when deciding how big your omelet will be! I also ordered a cup of sausage gravy with it, as it came with a biscuit.
The omelet was really good! Their house-made shredded potatoes were excellent, especially with onions added! And their sausage gravy was great! The biscuit was also perfectly done. In all, this was a really nice, tasty breakfast!! Highly recommend stopping in!!
Plus – you never know who you might see here… A recent national celebrity was there the morning I went… Someone who recently won “The Voice” was just having breakfast and socializing in a very chill...
