Wow, what an experience! We toured the facility and tasting lounge. We came away surprised and marveled at the overall experience. The Texas friendly owner and staff are first rate. We learned more about chocolates in 15 minutes than I knew in my whole lifetime. We felt welcomed like family. There where also alot of clever retail sale items and delicious wines to purchase which further extended the experience. The difference we saw specifically are the first rate and modern facility, the huge array of chocolate products for sale, his investment in equipment both old and new from all over the world. Add to all that, the research to have procure the best top tier raw materials available together with his 25 years experience resulted in a uniquely rare customer experience.

It's absolutely amazing to me that the small humble town of Fredericksburg, Tx now has a world class chocolate conniesieur and wine manufacturer that surely will creat a marvelous future synergy for the entire area and the region is fortunate to have such a...

We had an excellent time with Hill Country Chocolate’s private tasting!! Dan, the owner, was our host and couldn’t have been more knowledgeable or generous to our group.

Despite the biggest table full of chocolate, wine, bacon, caramel popcorn, and cheese/crackers we have ever seen (it was a gorgeous display!), Dan still took the time to learn what flavors each person in our group gravitated towards and made sure we got to sample extra treats that he had a feeling we would love (we did!). They make some really excellent chocolate.

I couldn’t recommend booking a private tasting enough. Our group was a small company staying in Fredericksburg for our annual company retreat, and while we did an intense amount of activities, this was hands down everybody’s favorite event of the weekend.

Thanks again to Dan and the entire Hill Country Chocolate Team for a fantastic experience. I know the next time I’m in Fredericksburg, I’ll be stopping in for some more delicious...

Whenever we go on vacation anywhere I always google, "best chocolate in _" and make a point to put that on our itinerary. I was not expecting to find such an upscale chocolate boutique in Fredericksburg, TX but boy was I delighted!

The storefront is about a 10 minute drive from the town center and we popped in on Saturday afternoon on our way back from a winery. Upon entering the staff asked if it was our first time and when we told her yes she said they would bring out some chocolate to sample. The chocolatier himself brought out a little board of chocolates for us to sample. Dan was so friendly and enthusiastic about his products answering any questions we had and bringing out additional samples of things he thought we might like.

We ended up buying a box of truffles and bonbons to take home with us along with a couple of the macarons. Truly impressed with the service and selection and will recommend to any friends heading to...

I never write reviews, first of all, but I felt compelled to do it this time because we happened to be at the right place at the right time at Hill Country Chocolate’s soft opening this past Saturday. We were greeted at the door and introduced to Allison who was very welcoming and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions as we watched the chocolate being made in a state-of-the-art facility. She took us upstairs to a quaint space filled with lovely wine with comfortable setting and a bird’s eye view of the facility. We were invited to taste samples of chocolate covered coffee beans and blueberries and enjoyed a glass of wine. This was such a treat to get to see and taste some of the most amazing chocolate we’ve ever had before. It was a little hard to find as it’s not near the other shops downtown but worth looking for it!! This is a must see if you love chocolates and wine too!!
