Happen to see this new restaurant that just opened yesterday on June 1st. They completely redesigned the space into one large open area for seating. This Chinese restaurant is known for making excellent buns. But I decided to order take out of their pork, eggplant with noodles and their walnut shrimp dishes. Both taste really good and are on par with the better Chinese restaurants in Fremont that serve these dishes.
Service was excellent. Kian gave us suggestions on what to order and spent time with me to describe the various buns you can purchase in bulk in their refrigerator. The restaurant is very clean and family friendly. Plenty of free parking in front. This restaurant is located in the Mission Valley shopping center next to Pasha Mediterranean and Hookah Lounge and across from the 76 gas station. The owner came to Fremont after cooking at her successful restaurant in Sunnyvale with the same name. Authentic Tianjin cuisine that is more than just buns. They have a full menu for lunch and dinner. Another great restaurant choice for those living near Kimber Park in Fremont.
Update: Went back again and ordered their Tianjin style savory crepe w/crispy dough and two eggs, tomato beef brisket clay pot, stir fried string beans and stir fried eggplant, string beans and potatoes. Again, everything was excellent. I especially liked the tomato beef brisket clay pot. I could have eaten that alone and all day. If you like the flavor of tomato beef like I do, you better order this or you are missing out. Highly recommended restaurant that...
Read moreAmazing place if you want to explore authentic Chinese northern style cuisine! Especially if you are looking for an adventurous brunch place to switch out the taste palette from American pancakes and omelette. I highly recommend the bao and the Tianjin style pancake. The pancake is probably the only authentic Tianjin style pancake I can find here in the bay. The savory tofu pudding is also a must-try. So soft and tender.
I’m from Beijing, and this is very close to the taste of my hometown, I’ll say even better than some of the restaurants from home. It’s a busy little family restaurant with clean display of food. The owner and folks were all so welcoming and genuine, giving me a...
Read moreI had tried the Sunnyvale branch before, and the taste was quite mediocre. After they opened a new location in Fremont, I thought I’d give it a try. However, the staff’s indifference was surprisingly shocking. I arrived at the store about 5 minutes before opening time. The cleaning lady saw me but acted as if she didn’t notice me, and so did the staff inside. After a while, the cleaning lady even came right in front of me but still pretended not to see me, just leaving me...
