Dick's Zesto — Restaurant in Fremont

I used to love the chili dogs and ate them many times. However, I just ordered two chili dogs on Wednesday and they were absolutely terrible AND they were way too expensive. Normally a chili dog costs $5.75 but I asked for “everything” on them so they charged me $7.25 for each dog. What I got as “everything” consisted of a squirt of mustard, about 8 small pieces of onion, and a couple of pickles on only ONE of the dogs. And this cost $1.50 per dog??? They also charged me an extra 89 cents for cheese on each dog. I couldn’t find a single piece of cheese on either dog. Also, both of the buns were dry and stale. This was incredibly inferior food for incredibly high prices, and I will NEVER eat at Zesto again. If you want some good food at reasonable prices, I suggest you go down the street a couple of blocks to Runza, plus you won’t even have to get out...

Zesto used to be a treat every Spring when they opened. The prices used to be higher than fast food, but you got great service, and great quality.

Now the prices are much higher, the staff isn't friendly, and the product is inconsistent.

I stopped on my way home from a swim meet tonight, and my son ordered before I could look at the menu...a small malt. His friend ordered the same, so I made it three.

$20.24...I repeated my order, and he showed me how Huge the "small" was. Sure, I guess...but $6.75 for a small malt is nuts. The ingredients weren't mixed, and there was too much malt (and I LOVE malt).

I get that prices are going up, but this place is a hole in the wall with little overhead. I'll just go across the street to...

Spent the day swimming and then went to Zesto's for dinner and ice cream. It was nice to be able to walk up to the window in our bathing suits and order. They have a few large picnic tables in the parking lot but it is a busy spot so you may have to wait for a table or take it to go. We lucked out and got a table that sat almost all 12 of us. They have a scan to order option but that actually can take longer than ordering from the window. I ordered from the window and my food came out in about 10 minutes. My friend ordered from the app and it took about 30 minutes. After we ate dinner we circled back to the window and ordered ice cream! That came out in less than 5 minutes. It was a fun experience and I would definitely eat...
