Three of us walked in today for a later lunch. We had heard this was a good spot for a good burger so we thought we'd try it out and I'm glad we did! There was some familiarity here, but very new feeling. A friendly atmosphere. People here have conversations with each other. There were open seats and plenty of TVs to watch sports. I would imagine that this place is crowded on husker game days. Music was at a good level. We could speak to each other but still could hear music. Totally ok because the sound of other people chewing food drives me nuts!
Our server Eric was very welcoming. His level of service is top notch! His recommendations on fried pickle spears and onion rings were actually some of the best I've ever had! The breading actually stuck to the rings and the spears. The onions didn't pull out of the breading like most do. It paired really well with the house made ranch.
The three of us were in the mood for burgers which there were many variations of on the menu. I went with the caboose burger which was a bacon cheeseburger. Typically, most places will toss on one or two strips of bacon and call it good but Haas' does more. Two slices of cheese and four slices of bacon. Two under the cheese and two on top. Lettuce, tomato, and pickle are set aside for you next to the bundle of fries. The half pound of hand pattied beef you get is seasoned well. Not too salty, not too fatty either. Just right.
I finished my food, but two boxes were needed for the others. Eric brought them over and wrote the today's date on them. But why? An extra level of service. Maybe you got leftovers and don't remember when you had it, or what it was. So writing "Burger 9/24/25" is a good idea. Food goes bad fast.
Overall, I'm really happy we visited today. A really good burger spot! We will definitely be back and...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing! Husband and I adventured out on a Saturday night. Decided to try the new hype in town. Placed our appetizer order and drinks, unfortunately my husband got called out to work before we could order our dinner and receive our appetizer. We informed the waitress and she was so nice and understanding about the situation. We paid for our drinks and she cancelled our ordered appetizer, encouraging us to stop back and try them out. Tonight we got some time to do just that. Typical busy Saturday night atmosphere, and a population of over 20,000, yet we were immediately recognized! Thanked for coming back in again to try out the place. The service was top notch! Our waiter Eric, (I believe was his name), was such a down to earth individual! Cracked jokes, profusely apologized for the wait on a busy night, recommended his favorite drinks and special for the night. Cannot encourage anyone that hasn’t given this place a shot enough, GO! You...
Read moreI've been there a few times and overall the food has been fantastic with good portions. I'd recommend everything but the soup as it was serve yourself and not turned on the last time we visited. They could use more servers and it takes a little while to get your food, but they're always friendly and that goes a long way. Lots of game options on the TVs every time we've stopped and pretty much exactly what I'd expect for...
