The 818 Club is a local dinery in Fremont Ohio known for their Irish flare. We've eaten there on various occasions, most generally on New Years Eve. You can get in, eat and get out in 30 - 40 minutes without being rushed. The food is great and the service is the same. Recently we've been looking around for other places to eat versus the typical 3 or 4 places we usually frequent and The 818 Club up. They have a great diversified menu with a little bit of everything. I love Liver & Onions and they are one of only 2 places I know that have it on their menu, and they make it right. It is so tender and moist you can cut it with your fork. Liver is one meat that if you cook it too long it transforms into a replacement shoe sole. But not at the 818. I want to try some of their other items but by the time I order, with all of my intentions in the right place, my mouth orders the L&O without my brain's input. I WILL order other entrees if I have to go there every night for a week, and with my great great experiences here so far... is that really a bad thing??? I think not!

Another new destination on our endless quest. This is a nice little place, in a quiet little city. The staff was super friendly and nice. There is a crazy amount to choose from on the menu. For starters, the pretzel sticks with beer cheese might be the best I have ever had. I think the secret is the flash deep fry, but they were outstanding. The french onion soup was crazy hot but was good. The chili was hearty and had a great flavor. The prime rib special seemed like a good price for what you got. Mushrooms, onions, and horseradish gave it a great taste. They ran out of the item for my other entree and had to order something different. I got the New York strip and it turned out to be a big mistake. It did not look like beef and was very tough. I would come again, but no more steak.

Would you like to hear a secret? When I leave Fremont, Ohio I will be able to brag to everyone I know that I had the most incredible French onion soup every single week for five months straight. It’s all thanks to Club 818. I’ve been trying out many of the unique and interesting restaurants in Fremont since being here. But 818 truly marks a special place in my heart for their incredible food, friendly staff, and comfortable atmosphere. I offer a special bow to all the skilled cooks and chefs who are making what seems like homemade home crafted food for anyone who comes through their door. It takes a special dedication and love for what they do to create such success. And whoever created the French onion soup, is a true culinary genius in my book.

Terrible experience here !! I have to put 1 star to be able to write a review , but this place deserves 0 stars . We went to visit some relatives in Fremont , Ohio , it was Saturday March 19th , I ordered a French onion soup which it was extrémale salty and awful but that’s not the main problem here , my husband ordered a baked potato and we shared the Cesar salad , we ended up been violently Ill with vomit and diarrhea , this is the only meal that we shared , we were trying to overcome the situation because we were on a road trip so we kept traveling the next day to Chicago , but things were getting worse and we ended up calling 911 to pick us up at the hotel and took us to the hospital , we were sick for 5 days ! This place needs to handle better the food that they serve as well as be sure that your servers observe the cleaning guidelines , they were 2 women that seem pretty overwhelmed . This is serious matter and I hope the health department look into it.

After reading your response , I can tell , that you will never admit wrong doing , and almost saying we are lying, you have had bad reviews in the past , we looked it up. Terrible FOOD!!!!!! and...

A local favorite here in Fremont for many years, the 818 is still going strong for a few good reasons.

The food is great. I have never once had a bad meal here. And if you're new I would suggest the Wet Burrito. It's massive, delicious, and inexpensive.

The prices. 818 is great for good food on the cheap. Want a good meal that won't bleed your wallet dry? This is a great place for it.

The people. Every time I go in, I am met with smiles. The staff are all friendly, make you feel welcome, and seem to be fairly happy working there. Any place that makes it's employees glad to be there is a great place in my eyes. At the same time, that happiness enhances the experience of the customers and makes them happy. That's a win-win.

Ultimately, it's hard to go wrong with the 818 Club. It checks all the boxes of a good place to get a bite to eat If you stop in, be prepared to leave...
