Salsa Picante — Restaurant in Fremont

I really enjoyed this place and would have given it a 5 star rating based on my steak and shrimp fajitas. However I was disappointed when I tried my boyfriends food. He got a baja burrito which had shrimp in it. He gave me one of the shrimp out of his burrito (not knowing why he didn't like it). I ate one of his shrimp and realized it was not deveined. It was gritty with sand and absolutely gross. The worst part was that we were the only customers in the restuarant at the time.. so it's not like they were crazy busy and forgot. On top of that, if they had time to devein my shrimp why didn't they devein his? Maybe because it was in a burrito and they thought he would not notice? Just plain lazy 😪 and it was going to be my favorite new spot. I hope everyone else has a better experience! My boyfriend will probably not what to come...

I was there on Friday evening, the young man that was there as a waiter would just talk to the young lady and would not take my order he would go back in forth with another customer but wouldn’t take my order, then he came and took our drinks and only brought my husband and my drink forgot about my daughters drink, we also ask for napkins and he didn’t bring none, as I said before he would just talk to the young lady, we waited awhile and he wouldn’t take our order, so my husband went to him in the front and just ask for the check, the young men was charging my husband for 3 drinks when he only took 2 drinks to the table, my husband told him “we are leaving because your not taking my order, your just walking around and just talking “we just left,, bad customer...

The service was good, but the food was terrible. The margaritas tasted like straight margarita mix. The calamari was overcooked. The carne asada was too dry and crispy. The al pastor was bland. The guacamole was runny and gross. The sour cream tasted like it was watered down. Our meal was just disappointment entirely.

I told the waiter all of this, and he gave me 10% off, which I don't feel like was enough, since we barely touched our food. He took back about 85% of what he brought us.

It was very confusing, considering they have a good rating on Google. However, we were the only ones there the whole time, so maybe locals already know to avoid this place. I definitely do not recommend this place unless they drastically improve...
